Chapter 61 - The Lie

Daphne's POV
The next morning, I get ready for the day and walked down into the common room. All of my friends were already up and ready.
"Finally" Draco says "there she is"
"Have you guys been waiting for me?" I ask.
Everyone nodded.
"Why?" I ask.
"Ask your boyfriend" Pansy says sleepily.
"You made everyone get up and wait for me, how sweet?" I say sitting on Mattheo's lap.
"Your welcome princess" he says placing a kiss on my lips.
"Get a room" Abigail shouts.
Everyone laughed.
We all decided to go to breakfast and made our way to the great hall. Halfway there I remembered something. I stopped in my racks making Mattheo look back at me.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I just remember I-I have something to do"
"What?" Pansy asks.
"Uhhh- homework, yes, homework"
"Since when do you do your homework?" Mattheo asks.
"Since now"
Everyone looked at me weirdly.
"I'm gonna go do my homework, bye" I say quickly walking away.
I'm a pretty bad liar when it comes to my friends, I trust them and don't like lying to them. We tell each other everything but they wouldn't understand so I can't tell them, at least not yet. I quickly walked to the astronomy tower and went up the stairs. There they were, Harry, Hermione and Ron.
"You're late" Harry says.
"Alright chill out don't get you knickers in a twist" I said which earned a chuckle from Ron and Hermione. Harry just rolled his eyes in response.
"Alright so what are we doing here?" Hermione asks.
"I need to tell you guys something first but don't freak out, ok?" I say sitting down against a wall.
"Ok" all three of them replied.
"Voldemort called a death eater meeting not long ago" i stopped and looked at their faces, they were worried already.
"He's going to infiltrate Hogwarts with his death eaters" I say looking down.
"What? How?" Harry says.
"There's this mirror and-"
"There you are Daphne" Draco says.
I was frozen in shock. I couldn't bring myself to look at him. I just closed my eyes and put my head back in disbelief, I didn't want to believe that Draco was here right now.
"You know we've been looking all over for you" he says walking closer towards me.
We? Oh shit.
"What are you doing up here, love?" He says.
"Shit" I whispered.
I stood up and looked at them both. They both looked at me in disappointment.
"I can explain"
"Yes you bloody well will"
Fuck. I looked at the golden trio but they just looked down at the ground.
"Daphne" Draco says making me look at him "explain"
"I-" I started to speak but then I was cut off.
"We know about Voldemort" Harry says "we know what he's going to do"
I looked at the two boys I don't of me and they had confused looks on their faces.
"What are you talking about Potter?" Mattheo asks.
"He's going to infiltrate Hogwarts no?"
Mattheo and Draco quickly swung their heads to look at me.
"You told them?!" Draco says.
"Yes" I say quietly.
"Why?!" Draco asks.
"Because they can help"
"Help" Mattheo scoffs "help with what"
"Us"
Mattheo and Draco just looked at me even more confused as they were before. I sigh.
"They can help us take down Voldemort"
They looked at each other and quickly looked back at me.
"What's the plan?" Mattheo asks.
I smile slightly.
"Well-"

I explained everything to them. They thought it was a good plan. They agreed not to tell anyone else as they also knew no one would understand. We needed to did this ourselves, with the help of a couple different friends. We all went to our classes during the day and made a plan to meet up and discuss the plan after everyone had gone to bed, so that's what we did. Later in the night when we knew the cost was clear Draco, Mattheo and I snuck out of our dorms to meet Harry, Ron and Hermione ,and some other friends who were willing to help, at the astronomy tower. When the three of us reached the top, we sat down and waited for the others. Soon after, they arrived with some friends whom I didn't know and I didn't really care.
"Right, let's get to work shall we" I say standing up.
We talked about our plan for the rest of the night.
