Chapter 63 - Tragedy

Daphne's POV
Everyone was shocked Harry was still alive, everyone thought for sure he was dead. Obviously not me and the others, it was all apart of our plan. Harry was loosing, badly. Voldemort was stronger than we thought. That's when I saw a death eater sneak up behind him and try to cast a spell on him. I quickly ran over before they could and killed them before they could do anything to Harry. I ended up staying keeping look out so nothing happened to Harry. Eventually Pansy, Theo, Enzo, Draco, Blaise, Abigail, Ron and Hermione joined me. We all kept Harry safe while he tried to defeat Voldermort. Another death eater came towards us but it wasn't just any death eater, it was Mattheo. I pointed my wand at him as he did the same to me. Tears started to prick at my eyes.
"What are you doing Mattheo?!" I shout at him.
"Duck" he shouted.
I gave him a confused look.
"Daphne, duck!" He shouts.
I duck.
"Avada Kedavra"
I looked back to where he pointed the spell to see a death eater on the floor. He just saved my life. I looked at him as he rushed over to help me up.
"Thank you" I say hugging him.
He hugged me tighter like he never wanted to let go of me, ever.
"Guys, maybe a little help" Pansy said.
We broke apart and joined everyone protecting Harry.
"Harry" we hear someone shout.
I look over to see Ginny crying on the floor.
"What happened?" I say in my head.
That's when I saw him. I looked over to Harry to see his lifeless body in the floor.
"Shit" I whisper.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Voldermort was too strong" Abigail paused "What do we do now?" Abigail asks.
We all just looked at each other. No one knew what to do now. We had no plan.
"Fuck" I whisper.
I felt someone grab onto my arm. I was about to turn around when they grabbed a hold of me and put their dagger under my neck.
"What the fuck" I say.
"Shut it" I hear them say.
It was Bellatrix.
"Bella, what are you doing?" Mattheo shouts.
"Finishing what you were supposed to start" she shouts.
Everyone was confused, except Mattheo.
"Mattheo?" Pansy says.
He just kept staring at Bellatrix.
"Mattheo what is she on about?!" She shouts grabbing his collar to make him look at her.
He just stared at her with watery eyes. He slowly turned his head back to us and looked me in the eyes.
"I'm so sorry" he says.
"I- what? What is going on?" I ask.
He couldn't look at me anymore, he kept his eyes on the ground in front of him.
"Why are you sorry Mattheo?" Blaise asks him.
He stayed silent for a while.
"I had a task no one knew about" he says.
"What task?" Draco asks.
He looked at Draco.
"Mattheo what task?!"
"I had to kill Daphne" he says looking back at the ground.
"What?!" I blurt out.
Draco looked furious, like he wanted to murder him.
"You son of a bitch!" He shouts before walking over to Mattheo. But Pansy stopped him in his path.
"I didn't though did I?!" He shouts while looking over at me to see me trying not to cry.
"Why would Voldermort want Daphne dead?" Abigail asks.
"Because he knew she was going against him" he said as he looked at me "he knew you were working with Harry"
"Ok ok stop with this can I kill her now or what" Bellatrix says pushing her dagger deeper into my neck as blood started to drip down my neck.
"No" Mattheo shouts making her jump slightly.
"You can't kill her" he says.
"And why not?" Bella says.
"I'm not letting you kill my girlfriend" he says.
"Oops" she says as I fell to the ground.

Mattheo's POV
"Oops" she says as Daphne fell to the ground.
I quickly ran up to her and knelt down beside her. She stabbed her in the stomach. She was led in a big pool of her own blood. She started to struggle to breathe and cough up blood.
"Fuck" I say.
I quickly pressed my hand over her wound and applied pressure to stop the bleeding but it didn't work. She was still bleeding out a lot. By this time Bella had run away. Everyone else was stood around her as they all watched her die.
"Get some help then, someone?!" I shouted at them, but they didn't move.
I looked back down to Daphne to see her looking straight at me. Her bloody hand was placed on my arm as she tried to pull me down. I lent my head down toward her as she started to whisper.
"It's ok" she said "it's ok Mattheo, I'll be ok"
"Yeah you will be" I say.
"Help!" I shout.
"Stop" she says.
I look down at her to see her eyes getting heavier and heavier.
"No, no" I say "Daphne? Daphne, stay with me. I can't loose you"
I placed a hand on her cheek as she placed her hand on top of mine and slightly smiled. All my tears came flushing out as I sobbed into her chest.
"Daphne please, stay with me" I sob.
I heard as she took her last breathe. I slowly looked back up to her face to see her eyes closed and mouth partially open with a tear dripping down her face. I wiped the tear away with my thumb as I caressed her face.
"No" I whisper.
I looked up as I heard the sobs of everyone around me. Pansy was crying into Blaise chest, Abigail was crying into Enzo's chest. Draco just stood there trying not to cry as he stared at the dead, lifeless body of his sister. I slowly got up as I walked over to Draco to hug him. I opened my arms to hug him as he slightly pushed me away. I slowly open my arms up again as he let all his tears go and started to sob into my shoulder. Everyone else came over to see what happened. I heard loads of gasps as everyone's eyes ended up on Daphnes lifeless body on the ground.
"Is that-" some girl started to ask as she was interrupted by Pansy.
"Daphne? Yea" she says as she wipes her tears away. "Yeah that's Daphne"
I looked at her once more before walking away. I couldn't handle looking at my dead girlfriend anymore. I couldn't handle the pain knowing I'm the reason she's dead. I loved her no I love her, I always will. Why'd she have to leave so soon? I stopped walking as my legs gave way under me and I fell to my knees. I started to cry harder when Pansy, Abigail, Enzo, Blaise, Theo and Draco came running over to me and hugging me. We all stayed there for a while hugging and crying into each others shoulders. All we had left now was each other.
