She wasn't sure how long she had been there kneeling in the dirt when she felt arms surround her and the warmth they exuded promised her some sense of security. "Miroku told me about what happened last night."
"Sango, I can't take this anymore." she was confused, and heartbroken and everything felt so raw and painful right now.
"I know you can't and we would never expect you to." Sango understood to some extent how hard this was for Kagome. After all, she was a girl that was displaced in time. She was far from her family and their little group was all that the poor girl had to stand in for a family that she dearly missed. Sango wanted her to know that no matter what they understood if she didn't want to stay anywhere close to Inuyasha after all the boy was breaking her.
"But I can't help but love him despite it all." Her body shook from the force of the words and the sobs that were trying to escape her body at the same time.
"Are you sure it's love, Kagome?" The question was just that to make the girl think because Sango wasn't so sure that she loved him.
"What do you mean?" Kagome asked as she felt the other girl's arms tightened around her.
"You've said yourself that in your time you're still considered a child. It doesn't make sense for you to love him." Sango wanted her to realize, that if in her time she was considered a child then wouldn't this be considered the puppy love that Kagome had talked about before.
"Huh, why not?" Kagome was trying to get her sobs under control, she knew that if she didn't she would be in a lot more pain than at this moment.
