She took a deep breath as she attempted to put into words the emotions that always seemed to leave her heart battered and bruised. "That's not how it feels for me, it always feels as though I'm falling into an abyss and with every word that comes from his mouth it feels as though I'm being shut in the dark without an escape."
Sango's embrace tightened as the words that came spilling out of her friend made tears spill from her eyes. It was so hard to hear that this what her friend had been feeling and trying to hide from them. "That is not how it should feel."
"I told Miroku that I believe my love for him is ingrained, a remnant of who I once was."
Sango had to strain to hear the whispered words and she agreed with them, "Perhaps it is only a leftover emotion of Kikyō's from when her soul was reborn." Sango said as her hand ran through the raven locks of her best friend. "Even so you are not her, you will never be her. You are better than her. I don't understand why you've allowed yourself to be constrained the way you have been but the rest of us see the potential that you have to become one of the greatest mikos since Midoriko." Sango knew that Kagome needed to hear these words to counterbalance the words that Inuyasha always threw at her.
