Sunflower

Chapter 8

It was Friday and boy don't I have some excitement in me. This weekend is the music festival and me and the girls are all excited. I had to beg mother to let me go. She didn't want to leave me alone since the break in. Ethan was home all the time and didn't he annoy me with his loud music.He was in his room all the time and sometimes he would come out to check on me. Mother worked late shifts and was super exhausted when she come home. Grandmother made us diner when Mother worked late and me and Ethan helped around the house cleaning up.

"Sweetie!!" Mother called from downstairs. I quickly tied my hair up in a messy bun and ran downstairs. She was in the kitchen setting all her things away."Yes mother?" I asked grabbing a apple from the fruit stand. "Someone delivered a bunch of flowers for you. Sweetie I have to run. Your driving with Ethan.Let me know if you are save. Don't do any stupid things." Mother said in a rush before running outside to drive of to work.

I took the beautiful sunflowers into my hands admiring the smell and beauty of it. A small card fell out from between the pedals.I picked it up opening it.On the note it said:

I am sorry Emily.

I then knew it come from Stefan. I was avoiding him since the day he made it clear I mean nothing to him. He was still looking at me, in the background everywhere and was keeping a close eye on me. I was still upset about what he said. I didn't want to be used, instead I want to be a beautiful sunflower that will be plucked by a person who will give me water and sunlight. Who will plant me in a beautiful garden and that will admire my beautiful pedals and sunshine.

"Are you ready Em?" Ethan said annoyed while grabbing his car keys and jacket. I quickly sling my bag over my shoulder saying, "Yes are you?" He didn't say a word and stormed of to the car. I followed behind and got in. We speed of to school, we weren't late but Ethan was in a rush. "Slow down Ethan, why are you rushing we are not late." I said holding onto my seat for life. He didn't say a word. "Ethan why are you so grumpy." I asked seeing he won't speak to me.

"Nothing is wrong. Please don't push questions." He said. In less then 10 minutes we reached school safely. I got out as soon as possible. My legs was all jelly. Ethan was still sitting in the car lighting a cigarette. I waved good bey and left. I reached my locker and was busy setting away my books. After collecting the books I need I went to my first class.

As I was walking a class room door opened and out come Ava and Amelia. They looked all messed up, both busy straightening there cloths and hair. I could tell that they made out. After looking good again they parted not saying anything. I continued walking. I had the biggest smile on my face. I didn't say a word when Ava joined me. Ava was eyeing me the whole time. "Alright what is it?" Ava said after a while of seeing me smiling. "Nothing." I said still smiling. "Girl, I can tell you want to say something." She said glaring at me. I laughed and said, "I will say what's on my mind when I am sure about it."She then widened her eyes and grabbed me on the arm and dragged me of to the bathroom.

In minutes we reached the bathroom. Nobody was in the bathroom so that gave Ava time to speak to me." Emily if you say a word, girl I will come for you. "She said playfully but I knew she was asking to keep my mouth shut." Ava, I promise I will not say a word. What I saw is your business not mine and besides isn't my place to tell anyone."I said not joking around. She looked relieved and took a deep breath." Me and Amelia have something. We are only trying to see if the feeling we have are true. But Em I really feel in love with her and I do hope she feels the same. "Ava said looking afraid and hopeless." Ava I think that Amelia likes you as well. I mean she wouldn't play around with you if she didn't feel for you and she is your best friend. I know she wouldn't risk your friendship as well. "I said squeezing her hand lightly.

She then sighed." Amelia are in a relationship. Chris is her boyfriend. They have been dating for two years."Ava said looking at the sink. I was a little bit shocked." Ava don't worry if love is true,it will find it's way. Plus Amelia have a bonus with you, I mean you had your lips done. And girl don't you always make heads turn with your beauty. "I said giving her a smile." Your right. I shouldn't doubt her. Thanks for the compliment Emily. Nobody every says things like that to me. I really do appreciate it. "She said returning the smile.
