Luca's POV:
Muffled noises began to register as I slowly awakened from my nap. The talking from the TV started getting louder and I sat up rubbing both my eyes while yawning. How long was I out for?

I looked to my left to ask Alberto this, but he wasn't there next to me. Instead, there was an empty spot where he was once was, which wasn't what I expected. Usually, he would wait for me to wake up whenever we took naps or slept over.

I turned the other way to ask Giulia where Alberto went but she was fast asleep in a weird position. There was some sunlight from the sun setting coming in through the windows, so I assumed it's been a couple of hours since we were awake.

My theory was confirmed when I glanced at the clock near the TV. "6:30? Wow, I guess we were all tired." I muttered as I got up to stretch. Still groggy, I went to the kitchen to get a snack. As I closed a cabinet door, I heard Giulia start to move in her sleep.

Then a loud thud broke the silence. Giulia fell off the couch, which prompted me to laugh hysterically. I started laughing hard and held onto the top of the table for support. Giulia was not amused though, since she frantically got up and looked at me with shocked expression on her face, like if aliens suddenly appeared.

"Luca?! You're still here?" Giulia exclaimed while walking towards me. "Yeah?" I said with a puzzled look, "Why wouldn't I be? Did you hit your head when you fell? Haha!" "No, I didn't dear friend of mine. You're supposed to be on your way to Alberto's tower!!" Giulia loudly yelled, pointing towards the direction to Al's tower.

Confused, I wonder why I should be going there? Did he go there? Is he there right now? How did she know where he was? "Giulia, what are you talking about?" I asked, now deeply lost. Her face goes pale, and she stops frantically moving. "Crap. What time is it?" "It's 6:35, why do you a-" Before I could finish my sentence, her eyes widen, and she starts pushing me towards the door.

"I accidentally went to sleep. Luca, Alberto told me to tell you to go to his tower and to be there by 7!" She quickly explained. After hearing the reason why she was going a bit crazy, I relaxed a bit. "Oh! Okay then- could I at least get ready?" I said to her. I just woke up from a nap and I was definitely not going outside looking like this.

Giulia sighed heavily. "Okay then but hurry up! He wants to tell you something important." Important? Is it serious?

I nodded and went upstairs to get ready. I put on fresh clothes and fixed my face. After, I ran downstairs to get my shoes. I checked the time, 6:46. I sprinted to put on my shoes and saw Giulia standing near the door. She grabbed me before I could leave and told me to listen to Alberto carefully. I nodded and ran out the door, shouting bye to her.

I knew I would have to run fast to get there on time. Knowing Al, he would get worried if I was even a minute late.

Alberto's POV:
I've been setting everything up for hours. As hot as it was, I continued to work until all the decorations were in place.

There were roses, white lilies, and other flowers lined on the beach area near my tower, which lead up all the way to the top. The local flower shop offered me bags of cut flowers in exchange for fish, which seemed like the deal of the century to a sea monster.

I moved all the stuff I had collected into a corner under a blanket, and replaced it with things from the universe, like stars, the sun, planets, and whatever else I saw in Luca's book. He loved this sort of thing, so maybe it could boost my chances?

After I thought that this setup was good enough, I went outside to sit near the water. My scales started to form near my feet. As much as I liked being in my human form, I felt more at peace with my sea monster form.
