Under the moon: ...But fun to play with

“Boys, I’m sorry, please let me in?” I asked through the door.

“No, don’t come in here!” Jace yelled.

“Please, I’m sorry.” I said, I had a feeling they didn’t know how to lock doors, but I wouldn’t force them.

“… ” No response. But then I got an idea; the boys have an extra room attached to their room, with nothing in it, maybe that could be their play room.

“I had an idea that we could fill the extra room in there with feathers and toys for you guys, and you could use it as a play room.” I said, the boys gasped. Drew was just walking towards me with some warm milk for them.

“Really, you would really do that for us?!” Alon asked excitedly.

“Know see, I would, but that depends, can I come in?”

“Yes!” They said in unison happily.

I grabbed the door knob and twisted it, like I’d thought; they don’t know how to lock doors.

“I brought you guys some warm milk.” Drew said, and their faces lit up.

I remember going on a fieldtrip in second grade to a fun museum where they had a feather factory, where they made a ton of feathers (which is a lot since feathers don’t weigh much) and so I teleported a bunch of feathers to the extra room while the boys were drinking their milk.

I grabbed two chairs and teleported them in the extra room, so Drew and I could watch them while they played.

“So tomorrow you’ll fill the extra room with feathers?” Lyn asked.

“Tomorrow? I just did fill the room with feathers.”

“Yay, you’re the best, thank you Daddy!” Jace said hugging my leg.

“I really am sorry for yelling earlier boys.”

“It’s okay!” They said before running to the extra room.

The boys opened the door and gasped at the sight of the extra room filled to their waist lines with feathers.

Drew and I walked in and sat down in our chairs and watched the boys as they gleefully played with feathers.
