I woke up wondering if that dream had meant something. But I eventually gave up. I mean what could it have meant. I lay there thinking and I came upon a decision. I decided that I would go home tonight. I heard the nurse coming to my room and heard her talking to a woman.
"That boy really cares about her." said my nurse.
"Yeah, it's so cute." the other woman exclaimed. "Are they dating?"
"No, but I can tell she likes him." She responded. "and he obviously likes her," the other woman added in. "he was talking to me today and he said, and I quote, "I really like her, I might even love her, I have never loved anyone before. Its scary. Can you please, please check on her at least every fifteen minutes?" I agreed and he handed me one hundred dollars. "Thank you" he told me, and I could tell he meant it.
"That is so beautiful," the other woman said sniffling. "and he's a hunk too." she added laughing.
I heard footsteps, so I pretended to sleep. When she bumped into the bedside I acted as if she startled me awake.
"I'm sorry did I wake you?"
"No, it's okay." I replied adding in a yawn.
"Okay, have you decided if you want to stay yet?" She asked sweetly.
"Yes, I think I wanna go home."
"Okay, I will get your discharge papers." She offered.
"Okay thank you so much." I said.
