Alexis' POV
Every so often I would check to make sure that the boys were alright. I didn't want to find one of them unconscious. That'd be bad. Recording seemed to make them a bit more happy, but I think they were just faking for the video.
I felt bad. I'm not entirely sure why I do. None of this is my fault. I felt worse about the fact that I didn't see that Bailey was overworked. It hurt me that because I didn't realize that Bailey was overworked, I couldn't tell Ross about it. Bailey was my best friend in the entire world, how could I not notice something this simple? It boggles my mind. She must have been a really good actress, or I am not a very good listener.
Anyways, I was in the middle of making a thumbnail when Katie texted me.
K: hey Lex, wanna hang out? I need to talk to youA: yeah, sure! What time?
K: could you join me for dinner at 7?
A: definitely! Would you mind picking me up?
K: not at all, I'll see you at 7! Ciao!
A: haha, bye Katie!
I wonder what she wanted to talk about. Maybe Chris was being a douche to her. She's probably really confused. Poor Katie.

"Ah, you dick!" I screamed at Duncan because he took the scrumptious Jaffa right out of my hand, and now holding it above him. Duncan was really tall, even for me, and I wasn't all that short. I kept trying to jump and reach up for it, but consistently failing. Suddenly, Lewis walked in and told him to give it back to me. He sighed and slowly lowered the pastry towards me.
Lewis said, "Thank you. Now can I speak to Alexis, Dunc?"
"Yeah, I'll see ya around, Lex." I generously gave him a friendly smile, nodded, and waved. Duncan exited the room and I looked back at Lewis.
"Now, what does Mr. Brindley wanna know?"
"I wanna know why you and the guys are so quiet today." I looked at him blankly and I got hot. I'm not really sure why, but a part of me was saying that they didn't want their personal information spread.
So I lied to my boss.
"Oh, um, we were just up late, drinking."
"Really? I guess Ross is really hungover because he looks miserable. Why did you guys even drink if you knew you had to record and work today?"
"Because, uh, yolo?"
"Fair enough. Well, thanks. At least I can get some answers around here from somebody."
"No problem Lewis," I answered as I gave a quick show of my hand.

"Come on love, it's time to go," Alex said as he entered my office.
"Okay, one sec Kermie."
"Kermie?" Alex gave me a really confused face.
"Haha, don't ask, I'm not even sure to be honest. Just popped into my mind."
"Please get it out of there." I laughed and started to shut down my computer.
We were all sat in the car; Alex driving, me in passenger, Chris behind me, and Ross behind Alex. I looked back at Ross and his eyes were fixed to the screen of his phone. His eyes looked more puffy than earlier; he must have recently cried. I don't know why I chose to say something to him, but I did.
"Hey Ross, you alright?" He moved the hand he had over his chin and mouth over his eyes. Guess he's not alright. I kept hearing Chris' phone's ringtone go off, and I realized in the reflection of the window, it was Katie. They looked like they were arguing. Shit, this night is gonna be fun.
