Alexis' POV

Later in the day, I saw Ross standing in the kitchen all alone, sulking. He looked so depressed. It killed me inside.

"Hey, Ross." I tried to smile a little, but it came out really weak.

"Oh, hey, Lex." He stared back at the ground and took a sip of his newly-brewed tea.

"You okay?"

"If I say yes, will it make you feel better?"

"Of course it will, but I'd rather you be honest."

"Oh, well then, no, I'm not okay."

"Bailey still gotcha' down?"

He just nodded.

"Have you tried talking to her?"

"Plenty of times, trust me. She keeps saying 'it's me, not you.' I don't know what to believe. I just - I just thought we were so good together, ya know?"

"Uh, Ross?"

"Hm?"

"I talked to Bailey recently actually and she said the reason she said that was because she's been overworked and she didn't want to seem like she's ignoring you."

"Well, one, she would never make me feel that way, and two, why is she so overworked?"

"She said she 'needs the money.'"

"What for?"

"That's what I'm gonna figure out. It must be important though, she's not a very energetic person."

"True, very true," said Ross, smirking.

That made me smile. "Alright, I'm gonna go," I said as I pointed towards the door, "try to cheer up." I patted his shoulder and he just nodded.

I exited the kitchen and began to walk towards my office.

I was about to past the HatFilms office, but I saw Alex call me in.

I opened the door and he said, "Hey, love. Whatcha' up to?"

I watched him as he paused MineCraft on the monitor and turned towards me in his chair.

"Um, nothing, I was just talking to Ross, and now I'm gonna go text Bailey."

"For what?"

I then heard Chris say from his desk, "Yeah, for what?" He sounded a bit unamused and sarcastic.

"I'm gonna ask her what this 'money' thing is about."

Alex answered me. "Oh, sounds like fun. Me and Scrotty Too Hotty, and Ross whenever he gets back, are gonna film some Hat Pack."

"That's nice, but Ross is chilling in the kitchen drinking tea, and staring into space. I'd recommend one of you getting him."

"Fuck, I will," said Chris as he exited the room.

"Okay Kermit, I'm gonna head back to my office now."

"Alright," he said as he stood, "love you."

He kissed me and brought me into a hug. "I love you too, Kermie."

"Okay, Lex, I love you, I really do, but you gotta stop with that Kermie shit."

We both chuckled and he kissed my forehead.

I waved as I left the room, and continued to walk towards my office.

Hey Hatters and Yognau(gh)ts! Sorry for the shorter chapter! I've been hanging out with my friends a lot recently since school ended. Weird, I know. Anyways, good day!
