"Something's been bothering me for a while now." Naruto spoke up while trying to catch his breath.
"What is it?"
"Earlier....I thought I sensed the Kyuubi's chakra. But there's no way someone besides me has the Kyuubi's chakra, right? Sayuri already ate all the Kyuubi chakra Sora had, and he was the only other one."
"You probably just imagined it. Chakra here is cut off, both inside and out." Bee replied. "Nine Tails is only inside you. It's a bad joke, no doubt."
"Sayuri...." Naruto looked at me, no longer covered in the Kyuubi's chakra and with a questioning look in his eyes.
"I can't sense anything outside of this room. Like Bee said, it really is cut off. But being the Nine Tails' Jinchuriki, you're also more in tune with the fox's chakra."
"What do you mean?"
"If, and this is a big if, there is someone with the Kyuubi's chakra out there, you'd be connected to it and able to sense it beyond barriers because of how Bijuu chakra calls out to itself when in pieces. Remember how you knew about Sora?"
"Yeah. That's a good point." Naruto muttered. "But Sora was the only other one with Kyuubi chakra. Right, Octopops?" The blond turned to look at Killer Bee. His tone and expression showed he wanted reassurance that he was the only one, but he also knew what he sensed.
And I couldn't help but believe him. Strange things had been happening all day, and then he senses Kyuubi chakra other than his own? It couldn't be a mere coincidence.
"It's been hours. We should take a bathroom break before you pee on yourself or something." I pat Naruto's shoulder with the back of my hand as I stood up.
"I wouldn't!"
"Right, you'd probably pee in the corner first. Come on, I saw it on the way in."
"Don't take too long." Bee crossed his arms while watching us walk away. Stepping outside of the room, I felt my hair stand on end. I had to grab Naruto's arm to stop him from walking further away while my skin was tingling.
"Sayuri?"
"Something's wrong." I muttered, feeling as if the air were electrified with chakra. I could smell it- a muddled mess of various different chakras so mixed together that I couldn't even pick them apart.
There was no way this many people were on the island, and if they were, the scent would be much stronger, too. So where was this coming from?
"We need to get outside." Naruto nodded in agreement, and we headed towards the waterfall exit. However, right before we got outside, a group of shinobi blocked off our way.
"Stop. I'm sorry, but I cannot let you pass." The man wearing a hood spoke up. "Please go back to that room."
"Okay, but why is Shino's pops here? Why are you watching us?" Naruto questioned.
"Enough! Just go back inside. I'll tell you there."
"Why can't you tell us outside?"
"Shibi, I'll talk to him." Another man stepped forward, having a scar from cheek to cheek over his nose.
"I-Iruka-sensei?! What're you doing on this island?!"
"We now have a secondary mission on this island. And we're here to back you up. We heard this place is dangerous."
"Cut the shit. What's really going on?" I questioned.
"There's an unidentified creature that we're trying to confirm. That's because-"
