  "Sayuri! Help me!"

"Ah, a familiar whine. How long has it been since I've heard such a cry?" I grinned while turning and putting my hands on my hips.

"I need your help, not you being a smartass." Naruto pouted as he slumped forward. "I can't use my wind chakra with the toads.... Neither of them can even use the water element. I need you to teach them how to do it. Everything I've tried hasn't worked."

"....You want me....to teach toads....Water Release Jutsu?"

  "Yes."

  "What have you even tried?"

"Drinking water. Building chakra and spitting it out-" Naruto raised a finger for each thing he listed, and I had to stop him.

"Naruto, did you even once see me do that?" The blond paused before he hummed while thinking.

"....No." He replied, and I gently bonked him on the forehead with my knuckles.

  "Let's go then."

~

"So which one are you training with?" I questioned while stretching and looking at the two large toads.

  "Gamatatsu."

"I was afraid you'd say that." I mumbled under my breath. The big yellow toad had the attention span of an infant and the intelligence of a toddler, unlike his older brother who was as quick as a whip and had more patience. Gamatatsu was cloud gazing as we stood by a river, completely in awe at a cloud shaped like a rubber duck.

"You've got this!" Naruto gave me a thumb's up as he grinned.

"Gamatatsu." I got the attention of the younger toad sibling while standing in front of him. "Do you know how to build chakra?"

  "Yeah!"

  "Oh, thank goodness."

  "You guys have fun!"

  "Wait, where are you going?"

"I have some errands to run." Naruto threw me a peace sign over his shoulder while walking away. I doubted he actually did have errands, he was probably just skipping off to waste time so he wouldn't have to sit through Gamatatsu's training.

"Naruto says you're going to teach me the Water Gun."

"Water Gun? And that's shooting water out of your mouth?"

"It's a technique we toads can use." Gamakichi smirked while crossing his arms.

"Well, the closest thing I can do to that is Suiton: Mizurappa."

"Mizurappa...." Gamatatsu said with awe. "Show me!"

"Gimme a sec, I can't yet make water internally yet." Going to the river, I scooped up some water and held it in my mouth. Standing up, I did the Dragon, Tiger, Hare hand signs before shooting a blast of water down the river.

"I wanna do that!" The yellow toad had an excited tone; which meant I actually had his full attention.

"Okay, Gamatatsu. I want you to fill your mouth up with water and then listen very closely-"

"I don't have to do the hand signs, do I? Those are always hard to remember."

"Uh...." I glanced at Gamakichi, and he shook his head. "No, you don't need those. Now, get the water, and we can start."

~

"How'd it go?" Naruto questioned as I was lying facedown in the grass. It was absolutely exhausting fighting Gamatatsu's short attention span and simplifying things down to where he could understand them. But, in the end, I somehow managed to get the toad to sit still long enough to explain it in words he retained.
