Blinding Sweetness

Naruto and I were separating in training now, having to find our own ways to apply a nature change to the Rasengan. Since Naruto and I had different affinity natures, whatever we accomplished, in the end, would be so very different from each other. I was by the waterfall, trying to figure out a way of incorporating the water into such a high-speed chakra attack.

The Rasengan already was no easy thing to do over and over again due to the clones, and adding water release to it was an entirely different monster. This truly was the hardest part of anything we'd done the past few weeks. I couldn't remember the last time I struggled this hard to do a Jutsu. However, to be fair to myself, Kakashi did explain that adding a nature change to the Rasengan would make it an S-class or higher Jutsu.

But he also said it was something the Fourth Hokage couldn't even accomplish.

Naruto was also causing air bombs to go off when he was messing up, sending clones flying through the air.

The hair on the back of my neck stood on end as I could smell the fox. Spinning on my heel, I ran across the field as my clones dispersed.

"Sayuri!" Kakashi screamed as I landed on Naruto's back while the Demon Fox Cloak spread across the blond's body. A third tail was already growing by the time I sank my teeth into his shoulder.

Naruto roared out, and the cloak was hot against my skin. The exhaustion from training was quickly swept away by the Kyuubi chakra I devoured. Naruto fainted between exhaustion from training and the sudden drain of chakra before I let him go.

I heard a sigh of relief from Yamato since he'd been saved from having to use the exhausting chakra-sealing Jutsu he had at the ready.

"I think that's enough training for today." Kakashi closed his book, but I jumped to my feet.

"Say that to Naruto, not me. I'm fuckin' pumped!"

"Well, you did just eat extremely powerful chakra." Kakashi scratched the side of his face before holding his chin. "Speaking of, I've been wondering. Where does that even go? Logically, that much excess chakra would overwork your pathways or cause them to....well, burst."

"Whatever I eat replenishes what chakra I've used up, heals wounds, then whatever is leftover Kami-sama eats."

"....So....Kami-sama gets stronger the more you eat?" Yamato questioned with a worried tone, and I shook my head.

"No, it's like food for Kami-sama. Like when you eat, your body absorbs it, turns it into energy, and then you use that energy doing whatever you do. Since Kami-sama is sealed, though, that energy goes towards 'existing'. Before I was feeding, Kami-sama was actually starving and siphoning my chakra just to get by. Now that I feed on chakra, they don't have to take mine."

"Kami-sama was feeding off your chakra?" Yamato furrowed his eyebrows.

"That could explain your high chakra threshold...."

"Explains how Kami-sama is a parasite." I popped off while glancing back at Naruto. "Though....if that keeps happening....I don't know if Yamato-sensei can keep up with both of us."

Standing in the rain, I closed my eyes while feeling the drops hit my skin. Focusing on my steady breathing, I let my senses wander. The smell of the rain, the sound of water droplets hitting the earth, the feeling of the wet grass between my toes as I stood there barefoot and dressed down to keep my clothes from getting soaked. Water ran down my skin and made my fringe hang in clumps while the rest of my hair was pulled back in a small bun.
