Yea this chapter is kinda angsty. They don't break up or anything, but you have been warned.

"Fufu." Rui spoke as he walked towards the door. "I have a family reunion to attend. I'm going to be back tomorrow." He sighed. "Will you be okay?"

I nodded and ignored the pain that I felt. "I'll be fine. Have fun!"

"I will. I love you, and I'll be back tomorrow." He was out the door.

He was gone. I wouldn't be able to see him until the next day, and I didn't even have time to kiss him goodbye. He usually kissed me on the forehead at the least, but he just flew out the door. Was this reunion really that urgent, or was he extremely late? I thought of calling him and asking for an explanation, but that would make it seem like I was obsessed with him. Which I wasn't, right? Or maybe I was. I had no clue.

I bashed my head into the back of the couch. I didn't know what to do with myself until I got a call from Saki.

"Tsukasa!" Saki cheered. "You came!" I looked around and saw Ichika. I knew that the other members of Leo/Need didn't like to hang out that often, but there was something strange about this time in particular.

"Hello." The girl I was thinking about randomly spoke. "Nice to see you, Tsukasa."

"Oh yea! Saki and I got together yesterday!" I tried to hold back a gasp. As her brother, I was proud of her. I didn't mind Ichika either, but that was unexpected.

"Indeed. Anyway, Saki told me that your lover is gone for the day." Her tone remained calm. "Rui Kamishiro, correct?" I nodded, and she continued. "Well, it would be a pleasure if you would spend the day with us."

"I would be happy to." I smiled. "What will we do?" Whatever it was, it had to be better than sulking about Rui's sudden trip.

"We were thinking of going to Phoenix Wonderland! You are familiar with it, so we won't get lost!" My sister seemed thrilled.

"I would like that." Her girlfriend responded.

"Same here!" I chirped in and the girls smiled. "To Phoenix Wonderland we go!" We all cheered, although Ichika's cheers were noticeably weaker, probably due to her personality.

"What will we ride first?" Saki questioned, enthusiastic as ever.

"I'm not sure. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be fun." Ichika seemed to be the calm one out of the three of us.

"Oo! How about that one over there?" She pointed to a large coaster.

"That one looks fun! Nothing we can't handle!" I cheered.

As we ran around the park, I only felt a shallow joy. I enjoyed being with Saki and Ichika, but something was off. It took a minute before realizing the key component to my happiness: Rui.

"You okay?" My sister called over to me.

"Yep!" I responded hastily. I was happy the day was almost over. I wanted to see Rui.

Suddenly, Saki and Ichika both smiled cutely. As I was about to question what was happening, a pair of arms were wrapped along my waist.

I felt a head rest on my shoulder. "Fufu... my love..." That phrase alone made me realize who it was. He was back from his family reunion, and now he hugged me tightly.

"Rui!" I yelled in excitement. "You're back!" I hugged him back and tried to ignore that he just called me his 'love'. It was cute though, that was for certain.

Ichika seemed to telepathically send something to my sister. She nodded in agreement to the message soon after it was sent.

He turned to the girls. "Thank you two for taking care of Fufu." He smiled as I realized that he hasn't referred to me as Tsukasa in months. "I owe you a lot for that. As long as he stayed happy with your care, then I will give you anything you want."

"No need. It was from the goodness of our hearts." Ichika responded.

Rui wasn't convinced, so I gave him a thumbs up and a smile to suggest that she was right. "Okay then. Still, thank you."

"So, how was the reunion?" I asked as I sat on the couch.

"It was mediocre." Rui's voice sounded really deflated. "I'm not sure I'd be able to do it again."

"Oh. What was wrong with it?" Whatever it was, I knew that it was major to him.

"My family. I don't know why, but they wouldn't interact with me. It was awkward." He sighed. "It was like I did something wrong. I have no idea what, though."

I positioned for him to sit on my lap, in which he did. "Did they say anything behind your back?"

"Just that I'm an idiot and that you don't actually love me. They said that you only agreed to my proposal because you felt bad." He began to cry. I pulled him closer.

"Listen. You aren't an idiot." I wiped his tears with my sleeve. "They are the idiots. And I love you with all of my heart. That isn't a fabrication."

"Okay..." Rui put his head on my chest. "Please don't leave me."

"I would never." I pecked a kiss on his forehead.
