My Wonderful Slippers

 As I woke up, I felt a warm object. I instinctively moved closer to the object, wanting all the comfort it could provide. My body was completely wrapped around this heat source, soaking it all in. Whatever the object was, there was no gap between us. The only thing my mind knew was to grab this mysterious object, to never let it get away. I honestly had no idea what it was. I just recognized the warmth and comfort that the object radiated. I subconsciously buried my head into it until it couldn't go anymore. I wanted — needed — this object. My legs were wrapped around it, and my arms too.

Then I realized that it was Rui. On top of that, he was violently hugging the plush of me. It was adorable.

"Oh wait—" I yelped. "Crap..." My voice was muffled by the fact that my head was buried into Rui's chest.

Even with my embarrassment, the comfort he provided was still incredible. We cuddled in the past, so why not do it some more?

And so I stayed. After a minute, I felt warm arms go around my stomach. Of course he was awake to see me like this.

But if he cuddled back, then that meant that he encouraged it. Thank god. Neither of us wanted to get up, and it was only 4AM anyway. We'll wait until 7, giving us 3 hours.

"Fufu~" My lover sang, soon kissing me on the forehead.

"Hm?" He caught my attention rather well. "What is it?"

"Oh nothing." He played with the strands of my hair before ruffling it all up with his palm. "You just look cute, as always."

Oh. "Haha~ I'm Tsukasa Tenma, of course I'm cu—" Another kiss, deeper this time. God, Rui always had a way to fluster me.

"This is why I call you Fufu." I never thought about it like that. As fufu literally means cute, he's been calling cute for months. How did I not realize that, given that it was a word in my language?

Should I respond? I decided against it. So, I just continued to cuddle with Rui while he stroked my hair. It felt like paradise, in all honesty. That's what vacations are supposed to be, so what if we had a "vacation" where we just cuddled all day? I would love that.

I smiled as he put both of the plushies beside us. I grabbed the one of him after a moment.

"You like the plush, huh?" Rui laughed as I held it. I nodded sheepishly, and he kissed me on the forehead.

"Mhm!" I grinned. I liked it very much. The adorable smile sewn onto the face made me smile.

"I'm glad. These plushies took quite a bit of effort to get." He did his wonderful chuckle. "If it makes you smile, then it was a good investment, no?"

My alarm suddenly went off, startling both of us.

"That's uh... the alarm to get dressed." I squeaked out. That was embarrassing. "Let's go get breakfast."

"Okay." Still in our pajamas, Rui pulled me by the arm to the elevator. There were about 10 other guests with us as well, likely going to the same location as us. The elevator was slightly crammed, but we made sure to stick together. We probably looked out of place compared to the businessmen, but they probably would just mind their own businesses.

Businessmen mind their own businesses. Businessmen.

Sure enough, the door opener and the businessmen rushed out. I self consciously looked down at my slippers. Yep, we didn't belong here. Too late to turn back, though! At least all the high class people didn't bat an eye.

Rui looked at me and smiled. "Cute." He mumbled as he looked down to my slippers. Although we had already slept in the same bed many times, I never brought out the slippers until now. I'm assuming he liked them? Good, because they are very soft.

We were out at a shop nearly 4 hours later. Rui did confirm that he liked my slippers, so that's a plus. I loved my slippers. Very comfortable, but slightly childish. The best purchase I ever made!

"Oh hey. Slippers." I pointed to a pair of white slippers in a box. "Not as good as mine, though~" I sang.

Rui suddenly kissed me on my cheek. I laughed, caught up in the moment. My future will be great; both my superb fiancé and my slippers!

He soon broke the kiss. "You'll have to recommend me some slippers, Fufu. After all, you have such great taste in them~" He sang, somehow not sounding sarcastic. I didn't think he was being sarcastic, but I was never sure with him.

"Of course! We can go online shopping at the hotel!" I cheered.

We heard crying outside the store. It sounded like it came from a young child. "You hear that?" Rui questioned, earning a nod.

"Yea. Sounds like a kid."

He sighed. "Mhm. Curiosity killed the cat, but..." It sounded like he wanted to figure out what was happening. I didn't entirely blame him, because something immoral could be happening. "I want to go see what's up."

We held hands as we walked outside. Sure enough, a little girl was sitting on the sidewalk crying. She couldn't be any older than 7. Rui crouched to her level, lightly tapping her shoulder. Her whines stopped as her eyes widened.

"Hey... I'm Rui. Rui Kamishiro." He pointed to me. "And that's my fiancé, Tsukasa Tenma." He stopped for a moment, trying to figure out what to say. "What happened...? Why are you crying?"

"M-mommy." Well, that didn't help us much.

"Mommy? What about her?" I questioned, trying hard to keep a calm and pleasant voice. Rui seemed to chuckle at me saying the word 'mommy'. Wait, what?

She cried harder as Rui and I looked at each other. None of us knew what to do.

"I g—got lost!" She broke down, barely able to speak between her cries.

"Want us to look for her? Do you know her phone number?" I gently asked, not wanting to overwhelm her.

She sighed. "Nope. I f—forgot."

That complicated things quite a bit. "Where were you going? Perhaps she's already there." Rui asked her. His English was so much better than mine.

"The library." She muttered. At least we knew where she was on her way to.

"Let's take her there!" I suggested to my fiancé. He nodded.

"Okay, but what if we do if her mother isn't there? We can't bring her to the hotel." He countered.

"The police office. The library isn't far, anyway. Not like she could have stopped at many stores." The library was right across the street.

We walked across the street, and soon entered the building.

"Mommy!" The girl shouted, running towards a woman, who hugged her in return. Said woman walked towards us.

"Thank you for bring Lucy to me. I should have been a better parent," That was true.

"I'm glad you got back together safely." Rui smiled quite naturally. "We'll be off, then."

We left the library. Right, we were still in pajamas. Oops. Neither Lucy or her mother seemed to care, though.

A/N: I decided to pick out what pajamas they wore in the beginning. I decided that both of them would order them off of Amazon. In the comments since it won't let me put links in stories.

Really though, just imagine them in the elevator with a bunch of men in suits. I can see why Tsukasa got self conscious. Also, please tell the blond dork to shut up about his slippers. Please and thanks.

(Also, there was a deleted scene in chapter 12 where I made them french kiss, which I hinted at one in AkiToya so I might add one in the near future for Ruikasa)

You are probably telling me to shut up but I put a lot of research into the store they were at, made sure it was by their hotel and they had slippers. I also made sure the girl was going somewhere nearby the shop. They were actually at MUJI because I need everything to be accurate.
