Our twisted Fate

Frost held the small figure in his arms as he smiled softly. Star soon fell asleep from crying and all the stress before and Frost simply picked her up and took her back to the group in the towns square. 

"Oh good you found her!" Flower said as she smiled brightly making a small flower bloom. "Just place her on this." 

Frost put her down gently as he stood by to keep an eye on her while the other royals spoke amongst each other. Nightmare and Dream looked at each other when they heard Flower suggests that they got revenge on Comet since with both of their kingdoms combined they were twice as strong as Comet. 

The brothers nodded in agreement as Flower drew a green circle in the air holding her hand through it. Both Dream and Nightmare put their hands through it and shook the queens hands as the bond was sealed and they're kingdoms united. The planning began that same night in the war room of the brother castle in the war room which was kept dark for Nightmares liking. As you enter the room there is a platform in the centre with a table and chairs surrounding it with a map with all the surrounding kingdoms and other locations. Above the table is a beautiful crystal chandelier that has purple and yellow tints to it. Nightmare and Dream sat down in their seats as Flower sat down at one close by to them along with the royal court that Dream had made to discuss important situations such as this.

"We will have to wait for our men to recover." Dream began as he held his hands on the table.

"I agree that will also give Flowers soldiers to train." Nightmare added.

Flower nodded as she glanced at the other members who were sat at the table. Two figures sat in the other seats as they held their hands on the table looking at the two brothers so that they could begin the meeting. After a few more minutes passed another two figures joined and took their seats and once they did the council was all together. The members were the two brothers Dream and Nightmare and the others were Lady Seraphina, Commander Rhys, Galaxy and Ash each of them having their own abelites and duties. 

Lady Seraphina was also addressed as the  Mistress in shadows and she is the person Nightmare goes to if he needs any intel on anything that is happening outside the wall. She can provide that for him easily with her shadows and she has not yet failed him and she tends to keep it that way. She has her moments where she can get sassy with the brothers because sometimes they don't see eye to eye but she remains loyal to them. 

Commander Rhys is the leader of Neverlights army he was a brave and wise soul he made sure that everyone was safe as well as make sure that all the plans he made were successful. He trained the boys when they were younger so they knew basic protection if they ever needed it and he's stood by their side ever since. 

Galaxy is the goddess of the dream realm and a very good friend of Nightmare. They both protect the realm but Nightmare can only enter during the night while he's resting. Galaxy on the other hand can leave and enter whenever she pleases. She's also the protector of all the mystical animals you can think of such as nine tailed foxes, Unicorns, Griffins and so much more. Galaxy has a motherly aura to her and she will tend to any soul she comes across to make sure that they pass on without any pain nor suffering.  

And lastly we have Ash a very powerful witch who dedicated her whole life to learn magic to seek revenge on the person who killed her twin brother. Ash is fairly new to the council and she still has a lot to learn but she is a important part of the group since she is a magic user and they are hard to find in these times like these. Ash can be short tempered and cold at times since she's lost the only light in her life.

"My men are ready whenever you plan your attack." Flower said as she sat up straight in her chair. 

"But ours aren't our forces have been weakened from the attack and I don't think we'll be able to recover very quick either due to the repairs in the village." Lady Seraphina said as she looked at Commander Rhys who nodded in agreement. 

Dream let out a soft sigh as he rubbed his temples staring down at the map that was spread across the table. Galaxy took notice of the guardian as she looked at him with a concerned gaze gently rubbing his shoulder. 

"Are you alright dear?" Galaxy asked softly. Dream hesitated before shaking his head to the goddess as tears formed in his eye sockets he gripped onto he knees tightly trying to keep himself together in front of the other council members. Nightmare looked at his distressed brother and gently pulled him into his arms comfortingly as he rubbed his back trying to sooth him even if he wasn't the best at it. 

Dream found comfort in his brothers arms as he slowly relaxed and he stayed there for a couple minutes before pulling away returning to his seat. Ash began to get impatient as she tapped her nails on the table glaring up at the other members.

"We are wasting time sitting here and doing nothing!" Ash snapped angrily as she stood up slamming her hands down on the table. 

"Sit down Ash." Nightmare said firmly as a icy blue ring appeared around his left pupil. Ash flinched and sat back down going quiet since she knew making Nightmare angry is a big mistake. Nightmare took a deep breath as he continued. "I know that we are wasting time but we can't rush into things. It could be dangerous." Nightmare said calmly. 

"We don't need anymore people killed." Lady Seraphina said. 

"So what do we do?" Flower asked looking at Nightmare.

The guardian stood up and held his hands behind his back and walked to the map that was pinned to the wall looking at the distance between his and Comets kingdom.

 "We wait until our men are ready and then we attack." Nightmare said as he looked back at the group. "If we steady ourselves we should be ready within a couple weeks." 

Dream and everyone else nodded in agreement as they all stood up and got ready to leave.

 "Not you Dream you stay." Nightmare said to his brother. Dream nodded and remained where he stood as the others left. Once they did Nightmare turned to his brother and went back to the table and sat with him. 

"You'll be in charge of the kingdom while I'm gone alright?" Nightmare said looking at Dream. Dreams facial expression changed from calm to concerned quickly when he heard what his brother had said. 

"What? Why?" Dream asked with a panicked tone.

 "I will be joining the fight against Comet." Nightmare said simply. 

Dream quickly got up from his seat planting his hands down onto the table looking at the other guardian directly in the eye sockets. "You can't go!" Dream said raising his voice a bit.

 "And why not?" Nightmare asked with slight annoyance. 

"She could kill you!" Dream yelled. 

"Stop yelling Dream you're acting like a child." Nightmare hissed. 

"I'm not acting like a child I just want you to stay safe!" Dream yelled again as he stood up straight as tears formed in his eyes again. "I don't want you dying!" 

Nightmare rubbed his head letting out a annoyed sigh as he stood up walking to Dream and hugged  him closely rubbing his back to comfort him. Dream fought him for a minute before relaxing in his arms hiccupping between his sobs as he held on tightly to his brother.

"I'll be fine." Nightmare said softly as he put a hand on the back of his brothers head gently as he stroked his back. Dream shook his head sniffling muttering under his breath as he hiccuped and sobbed into his brothers chest.  

Nightmare sighed softly as he held his brother close looking away in guilt not realising how much this would hurt him. He didn't dare tell Star his plan since that would break the poor queens heart since she still believes the attack was her fault. 

He wanted to help.

But how?
