I'll love you tonight
For you are not here
For tonight you are not her
For tonight you are just meI'll bring out the coffee and the kettle
I'll sit around and read
Words that others wrote
The ones I cannot speakI'll cook something
With the three ingredients
I wholeheartedly
put inside my fridgeMaybe wonder why
The piano that plays in my head
Is still just that
an idea
Instead of a place for my imaginary cat to sitI'll eat alone
Looking at the rain
Sometimes worrying about the others
Sometimes worrying about myselfI could clean the dishes
Or maybe I'll leave it there
I'll tend to my burnt tongue
Look at the mirror and try not to touch my hairThen, out of nowhere
Solitude might hit
Funny thing is
This time
I'll be fine with itHere on
In what seems forever
Or maybe twenty, fifteen, ten or five years
...
A cat who I cannot name
A piano that I can barely play
Cuisine skills I learnt for a cheaper life
And chocolate milk just like my mum made
Will accompany me in a rainy day
Just like this one
Hopefully without much tears
And all my debts have been paid
