The next day we were sorting the big pile of clothes again. We were all huddled around, quietly discussing what our plan for moving the bodies was.
"We should bury the bodies in the foundations of the environmental monitoring station before they pour in the concrete," Simon said in a hushed voice.
Nathan protested, "So your plan is, we dig up the bodies and then we re-bury them in exactly the same place. You're a genius," he added the last part sarcastically.
"That works," Curtis said, sounding impressed.
"Yeah, that's dead smart," Kelly said.
"Impressive," I added, giving Simon a smile and then grinning smuggly at Nathan.
"It's okay," Nathan said trying to sound casual.
We decided to move the bodies back after community service, we didn't know when they would pour in the concrete so we needed to go as quickly as possible. When we were leaving the community center, I saw Alisha walking off with the guy who had been helping us sort the clothes.
"Where is she going?" Nathan asked.
"Oh my god, is she hooking up with him?" Kelly asked.
"Oh, that is definitely on," Nathan said.
"How are we supposed to move the bodies without her dads car?" I asked.
Curtis walked past us without saying a word.
"Where are you going?" Kelly snapped, "We need to move the bodies."
"You deal with it!" He shouted back and continued to walk off.
"Somebody's jealous," I muttered.
"We could take Sally's car," Simon suggested.
"Whose Sally?" Nathan asked.
"Our probation worker, Nathan." I started walking round the building towards the parking lot, "Come on."
Me, Kelly and Nathan stood by Sally's car while Simon got the keys. He turned invisible, went back into the community center and stole them.
We had brought the bodies round and dumped them in the bush next to her car.
"Fuck," I yelled as Simon appeared out of nowhere in front of me.
"Sorry," He said smiling at me. I smiled back, noticing that he had the keys in his hand. We unlocked the car and lifted the bodies into the boot.
"Oh shit," Nathan whispered, grabbing my hand and pulling me down.
"What?" I whispered. Simon and Kelly had ducked down too.
"It's Sarah," Nathan whispered.
"Sally," Simon corrected him.
"Really? Now is not the time." Nathan whispered angrily. We moved round the side of the car, keeping our heads out of side and hid behind some bins, hoping she hadn't seen us.
"Shit, fuck, shit! What are we going to do?" I whispered.
"Where are the keys?" Kelly asked.
Nathan's eyes went wide at the same moment the engine started.
Me and Kelly hit Nathan on opposite sides simultaneously.
"You left them in the car, you utter prick," I whispered.
"Ow." Nathan groaned.
Sally drove off. With the bodies in the boot of her car. We were totally screwed. Completely
and utterly fucked.
