Nathan and I talked for a while, about our families and community service, Nathan told me in detail about how he'd gotten arrested and I couldn't help but laugh the whole time.
I eventually said I was tired and needed to go to bed and I was a little surprised that he didn't protest. We said goodnight and then I went to straight to sleep.
The next day we sat and ate breakfast together. We didn't say much, I was deep in thought, everything was so weird at the moment. The Sally and Simon situation, me discovering I had a super power and now Nathan was leaving. No to mention the fact me and Nathan had almost kissed three times now.
I must have been sat there thinking for a while because Nathan took me out of my trance by saying, "Donut, it's half past." He stood up from his chair at the table.
"Huh?"
He looked at me like it was obvious, "We need to go? We'll be late."
I looked up at him and smiled.
"What?" He said with a confused smirk.
"Nothing," I said and got up to follow him out.

We were still cleaning all the windows in the community center so when me and Nathan arrived we all got to work. There was a bucket that had the soap in it and Nathan managed to kick it over.
"Y/n, you better get some more," Nathan volunteered me to go get the soap. I rolled my eyes but picked the bucket up anyway.
I had to go to the storage room to get more of the soap we were using. I was almost there when I heard voices, I slowed down, trying to hear who it was.
"You've got dirt on your face," Sally said.
I peered round the corner and saw her reach up and touch the side of Simon's face and rub off the dirt. Simon smiled at her, blushing slightly.
Are you fucking kidding me.
They both turned around to look at me. I must've said that out loud. Sally smiled at Simon and then walked off.
I waited till Sally was a safe distance away before approaching Simon.
"Simon, you have to listen to me," I whispered, "I don't trust her. She's just trying to get information out of you. You can't tell her anything."
"I know what I'm doing okay? I'm not some weirdo like you all think," He whispered angrily at me.
"Simon, I don't think you're a weirdo, I just don't trust her."
He looked at me. He was hurt again, he thought this was because of what I thought about him. But it wasn't that, it was about Sally. Why would she pursue a guy when her fiancé just died. It didn't add up.
"What are you two talking about?" I turned round and saw Nathan standing in the doorway, eyeing us suspiciously.
"Nothing," I said to Nathan. I then turned back to Simon and said, "You know i'm right."
Simon didn't say anything. I walked past Nathan and back to the windows we were meant to be cleaning. Nathan followed me.
"That looked serious, is something going on between you and weird kid?" Nathan laughed, cleaning the window beside me.
"Why? Jealous?" I snapped back playfully.
"Me? No." Nathan said defensively.
I laughed at his tone and went back to cleaning.
"Hey, um, I'll get my stuff after community service then i'll go," Nathan said as he cleaned.
I nodded, unsure of what to say. We'd joked yesterday about how I was happy he'd be leaving but I was actually dreading it. It was nice having the company and it was nice spending more time with Nathan. All of that was over now that he was moving out.
