"I went to my mums house yesterday," Nathan began as we all got changed, "She opens the door and she's like, 'Argh!' and I'm like, 'I'm immortal' And then she fainted. Face plants on the radiator, there's blood and teeth everywhere."
"Shit, she okay?" I asked and closed my locker.
"Yeah, she's fine, she's fine. Apart from
the whole...face.""Did you tell your dad?" I asked.
"Yeah..."
"How did you explain that?" Kelly asked.
"I told him I faked my own death as a part of an elaborate life insurance scam. He was not a happy man."
"Nice coverup but whose stupid enough to believe you could have pulled that off," I laughed.
"Well...I did."
"No you didn't, you're Immortal," I said.
"That's right I am!" Nathan slammed his locker shut triumphantly and strode out the locker room.
"Prick," I rolled my eyes realising he was just trying to get me to say it.
We all followed Nathan out into the hallway and this guy was standing there. I recognised him but I couldn't remember where from.
"I'm looking for Nathan," He said to us.
"Why? Why are you looking for him? Who are you?" Nathan said defensively. I looked over at him and his face was all scrunched up in confusion.
"I'm his brother," the guy said, his eye sight drifted to me as Nathan responded.
Nathan scoffed, "I haven't got a brother. I'm a classic example of an only child."
"Not any more," His eyes were glancing between me and Nathan, he seemed like he recognised me too but I still couldn't place him.
"How's that even possible?" Nathan asked.
"We've got the same dad. He didn't tell you about me?" He turned his attention back to Nathan and I noticed a bird tattoo on his neck. I knew that tattoo.
Nathan shook his head, "I guess it slipped his mind. Ok. I've always wanted a brother."
The guy smiled and then looked back at me, "Y/n?"
"Jamie?" I said finally recognising him.
He smiled at me and then stepped forward pulling me into a hug, "How've you been?"
I hugged him back and when I pulled away, I smiled and said, "Pretty average ignoring the getting arrested part." I indicated to the jumpsuits me and Nathan were wearing.
"You two know each other?" Nathan said quickly.
"Yeah, we went to the same sixth form. We used to date," Jamie said before I could respond.
Nathan scrunched his face and Jamie noticed, "Ah shit, are you two...?" He pointed between me and Nathan.
"Pff, no," Nathan laughed. Me and Nathan hadn't spoken much since we had kissed again. I'd said that us sleeping together was a one time thing but that kiss made it seem like otherwise. We hadn't had sex but that was because we'd been interrupted, if we hadn't then I'm guessing I wouldn't have been able to resist him.
