I arrived at the club and greeted the others. I got a drink from the bar and as I came back to the others, Nathan came over with a brunette girl.

"Hey, these are my friends!" Nathan said to her.

"I'm not your friend," Alisha said. Nathan ignored this and turned back to the girl.

"Hey, you look even prettier in the dark," I heard Nathan say to the girl and he placed his hand on her waist.

I tried to ignore them by talking to the others but I felt too distracted. A few minutes later Jamie came over. I watched as he whispered something to Nathan and then dropped a pill into his drink.

"Cheers, man," Nathan said.

"Hey, y/n, you alright?" Jamie smiled at me.

"Yeah," I lied, "You?"

"Good. You up for a pill?" Jamie said.

"Yeah, thanks." I said and he handed me the pill.

"You?" Jamie said to Simon.

"I don't take drugs," Simon responded.

Jamie nodded and then pointed over to the other side of the club, "What's that?"

"What?" Simon turned around to see what Jamie was pointing at. Now that Simon wasn't looking Jamie slipped one of the pills into Simon's drink.

"Nothing," Jamie said when Simon turned back to us looking confused.

"Don't worry, it'll just help him loosen up a bit," Jamie whispered to me after seeing the frown on my face. I laughed a little at that.

Jamie smiled at me and I felt his eyes drift to my lips, "I'm glad we ran into each other."

I felt my cheeks go red, "Me too."

"You know, you've changed a lot," He said.

"Oh yeah?" I said.

"No no, in a good way, you seem so much more confident."

I laughed, "Wow, thanks." Nobody had ever described me as confident.

"I liked you in high school as well but, this is you but better. You aged well I guess," He chuckled to himself.

"Thanks, you seem pretty great too," I said sincerely, "And the tattoos look great," I said gesturing to the one on his neck.

"Thanks, do you have any?" He asked.

"Not yet but I'm planning on it, I just don't know what I'd get." I'd thought about getting tattoos, I wanted a few bur I just didn't know what I wanted to be on my skin for the rest of my life.

"Your first tattoo has to be meaningful, something important to you, you know."

"Yeah, I guess I don't know what's important to me."

"You'll find it, I promise," Jamie smiled.

"Thanks, I'm gonna get another drink," I said, he nodded and I walked over to the bar. Nathan was also at the bar. Fuck. I wanted to retreat. Things felt weird between us today but I was already walking over and I couldn't turn back.
