By the time me and Nathan got to the community centre he was still going on about me having a power.

"How does this make sense, you all have powers, even my mum's boyfriend has a bloody power. How is that fucking fair?"

"It's really not that big of a deal Nathan," I said. I didn't want it to be a big deal anyway. We walked along the corridor towards the hall where we assumed the others were, "Hey, you called him your mum's boyfriend," I smiled proudly.

"Whatever," Nathan frowned, "I bet I've got like some really specific power that no one's ever thought of before."

"So, not on the A-list."

He glared at me, "Not yet, but when I discover it, it will be."

"Keep dreaming."

We had to do window cleaning. Fucking window cleaning. Curtis had the brushes for us and handed us each one as we walked out the changing room.

He handed Alisha one and they glanced at each other flirtatiously.

"Looks like y/n's not the only one who got some action last night," Nathan winked at me. The boys ran off ahead into the hall.

"Are you two like, together?" Kellly asked Alisha about Curtis.

"I guess, It's weird, yeah? Cos of my bullshit power we don't actually have proper sex. We just stare at each other and wank ourselves off...but it is really special."

"That's really disgusting," Kelly said.

"I think it's kind of sweet," I said.

"Is what Nathan said true, have you two been hooking up?" Alisha asked me.

"What? No," I laughed, "I hooked up with someone last night but, not Nathan."

Kelly and Alisha gave each other a look and then smiled at me. I found that weird but I didn't know what it meant so I ignored it and just smiled back.

We all lined up along the windows in the community centre with our brushes. Simon was stood cleaning the window next to me.

"Hey, I didn't get a chance to say but, I wanted to thank you," I said.

Simon looked at me with wide eyes as I spoke, a smile found itself on his face.

"We would definitely have gotten caught if it weren't for you, you're brilliant," I said.

"Thank you."

Simon looked back at his window and I did the same. I looked in through the window and saw that Sally was in the office and was smiling at me.

Wait no, she wasn't smiling at me, she was smiling at Simon.

I remembered the other day when she was quite plainly flirting with him.

"Is something going on with you two?" I blurted out.

Simon, who had been smiling through the window at Sally turned to face me. "What? No," he said defensively.

"Ok..." I looked at him for a second longer but I couldn't think of anything else to say so I went back to cleaning the window.

There was definitely something going on.
