Lukes p.o.v.
I woke up to my phone ringing in my ear.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Woah morning voice is hot. Wait that's not why I called. Let me do a re-do date. The first one got cut short and I just thought we should do a better one?" Ashton asks nervously
"Okay." I say "when."
"Today, at 8. Meet me in your back yard." He says quickly and ends the call.

I throw on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, not over thinking anything tonight. I slip on a pair of converse and run my hand through my hair a bit before grabbing my phone and jogging outside.
My breath caught in my chest. There was a path of fake candles leading into the forest. (because real ones in a forest are a fire hazard according to Google)
I pick up a note that was pinned under a rock.
"Follow the candles for a surprise." With a little heart next to it.
I started walking with the lights, I expected them to take me to the rock, but they lead me past it. I ended up at the river bank, the one from the picture where we had the mud fight. Ashton was standing there with a blanket laid out and a picnic basket.
"You are such a cliché." I smile and walk over to hug him.
"Yeah but you like it." He hugs me back before leading me to sit on the blanket.
"I didn't know what to make, with my very extensive list of things I can make, so I just got chocolate covered strawber-"
"The cliché got worse." I laugh a before letting him continue.
"As I was saying." He shoved me a bit. "I got chocolate covered strawberries, sandwiches and grape soda."
"You're a master chef Mr. Irwin." I lean over and kiss him.
He breaks the kiss first.
"Look at the stars." He says pointing. I look up and smile.
"Beautiful." I lay back.
"Here." I look over and Ash is handing me a chocolate covered strawberries. I take it and go back to looking up at the stars.
"Hey look at me." I turn my head and instantly get chocolate on my nose.
"Boop." Ashton giggles.
"You did not just do that." I reach out and get some chocolate on my figure and then smear it on his cheek. He gasped before dipping his fingers in chocolate. I jumped up and ran. Ashton close behind.
He catches up with me and wraps his arms around my waste, getting chocolate on my shirt. Ashton picked me up and carried me back to the blanket. I fall onto my back laughing.
"You got chocolate all over me." I say between laughs.
"You got chocolate all on my face." He laughs and sticks his tongue out.
I sigh. "I wouldnt mind doing this again." I turn on my side and look at him.
"Me either." He looks at me and smiles. "Maybe we will." He lays down and looks at the sky.
"I would love that." I say. "Listen, you can hear animals." In the back ground, you could hear birds and twigs snapping from things walking over them.
We both yawn. "I love you." I mumble, my eyes starting to close.
The last thing I hear before I fall asleep is ashton saying.
"I love you too, Lukey"
