╱╳╲╱╳╲╱╳╲╱╳╲╱╳╲ With the issue of identity, There should be clarity.
The question 'Who are you?' Is the middle point of who you have been, And who you are becoming.
Do you begin with age, A number, that has no relevance to your mental consciousness.
Do you follow with your race, So you can be put in a culture box.
Do you include your passions, So you are perceived as a weirdo.
Do you state your religion, So you can be labeled a terrorist.
Do you mention your sexuality, So you can be doomed to hell.
How easy it would be, If those cute little lines we fix in our bios Told the whole story.
How relieving it would be, If our identities, do not have to be shoved in one sentence.
How easy it would be, If who we are was clearly written above our heads Like white clouds and cartoon characters.
So anyone will not have to ask, So we will not have to explain, An Identity, yet to be unveiled.

A/N I was in a job interview yesterday. And I was thrown the question, Who are you! Although I had a response prepared, in that second, I froze😂. That is before I gave my rehearsed answer.
However hours after the interview, I am left wondering how some questions as simple as they sound for some people are actually very complicated others.
