My favorite author and inspiration Sarah Ladipo Mayinka often references a a quote. "If you can't find a story, then you should write it".
One evening I was searching for books on men's health, masculinity and coming of age And I wasn't seeing any. And this what led me to begin writing 'Boys feel too' and so far with 1000 reads and counting, your response has been encouraging.
Whether it's emotions involving love & relationships, hustle culture, mental health, domestic & sexual abuse, drug addiction, and other sensitive issues, BOYS FEEL THEM TOO.
I wrote this book hoping it'll make Guys across all races, backgrounds, social classes, orientation, feel safe in our own minds, confront the physical or emotional challenges that occur on this masculine journey, while holding ourselves accountable to our flaws in order to enable constant improvement.
For me, this is not my best work. Or should I say I could have approached such a complex topic in a more effective manner. But with these free verse poems, I tried.
