I wonder if it is shame
that makes you
not text me
or at least,
say Hi.

I wonder if it is pride
that makes you act like I do not exist,
When I clearly view your stories.

I know you!
"you probably believe we are too far gone,
too different to relate on anything"
Oh how false!.
All it takes,
is a phone call
and we would meet at our spot,
talk, get drunk
on red wine, and humour.

Beneath that EQ 400 Mercedes you cruise all over campus,
Beneath your new friend group
you make Tiktoks with in your fancy apartment,
I still see you.
Even if,
you no longer see yourself.
