Which was it Belt, wire or sticks? Spare the rod Spoil the child But most times The the damage the rod causes Remains Years after the whip marks are gone.
Wrinkled faces, Evil smirks, and Dirty laughs. Behind every bully, Is a wounded soul in need of healing. Repressed baggage, Passed down to the next generation And to the next after, The cycle is endless.
You could address the pain with warmth, But your old man showed you no love, Daddy displayed no empathy. So your mind and beating heart cannot contemplate it, Even when you see or feel it.
You consider it weakness And dare you not be weak! Dare not let a single tear drop! Especially when everyone one is watching.
Stone cold Is the default mode, Even through pain You remain, Emotionless Heavy within Stoic Unmoved Just like Daddy used to.
