Okay, so I have finally made a decision. I will be writing smut in this story, so if you're uncomfortable with that, please just refrain from reading. This chapter doesn't contain smut, but later chapters will.
With that said, please enjoy. And guys, I swear the time apart is good for the economy.
I had prepared for this day for years.I had always known where I wanted to go. I had always known what I wanted and was spared the struggle of finding out throughout my high school years. It was the one single thing keeping me going.
I didn't have to bring any of my furniture as the apartment was already equipped with such, it came in the price.
I only brought about two giant suitcases filled to the brim, so much I had had to sit on them for the zipper to slide, with clothes and personal objects that I loved dearly, like my ancient scented candle, that I for whatever reason had never lit, and Cooky. Oh and of course, a one-way ticket to Korea.I was a real hassle bringing them out to the airport, my dad had been a savior and made sure to carry one of them. It was almost bigger than him. He was a very small man, so it looked like the most adorable thing ever, but I didn't tell him that.
We were all there, the whole 4-man family, when we came to the place where I had to go on alone. I stopped just before the point of no return, to look back at my parents and Jack. I scooped up Jack in my arms and he hugged me around the neck.
"I will miss you." He mumbled and I chuckled. "I'll miss you too poopyhead." He giggled at my words. Children were simple like that. I put him down again and kept my hands on his shoulders.
"Make sure to keep mom and dad in check, alright?" I said and winked at him. He laughed cheekily. "Make sure to give Jungkook the socks, but don't tell him I was involved, that's just embarrassing." He said and made a sour face. "I can't promise anything." I laughed.
I turned to my mom and dad. My mom's tear wetted eyes met with mine and she grabbed me and pulled me fiercely into a warm hug.
"Mom..." I mumbled against her shoulder. She took a hold of my shoulders and pulled me out to look straight into her big, brown eyes.
"You stay safe, and you come visit!" She said sternly as one of her hands slipped up to cup my cheek. I laid my hand atop hers. "I promise." I said and she nodded finally, nothing like she usually did. As if words were too much to bear.My dad gave me a hearty hug too. "Make yourself proud my girl." he said as his eyes squinted in a saddened and proud smile. "You're the strongest person I know, keep your chin high."
I could only nod as tears began welling up in my eyes and I could feel my nose getting stuffy. With a sad smile I turned away with my two suitcases and hand luggage. I sniffled before I scanned my boarding pass and walked through the entrance, being all dramatic and sad. Rightfully so.
"Bye."I kept walking down towards where the hallway made a turn without looking back a single time. And if I were to paint the picture in the most poetic and dramatic way ever, I, after very hard resistance, finally slung my head back to look back at them. My little family, now without me, alone in big old America. A single tear slipped down my cheek as I waved bye for the last time and turned around the corner.

The flight took just about 20 hours. Give or take.
When I finally arrived in Incheon airport again, navigating was a lot easier since it was the second time. I knew how to get to the city and where my apartment was. I also knew how to get my hands on the key. Everything, simply put, was easier. Well not the two suitcases, but thanks to my sweet taxi driver, who helped me pull one of them up the stairs to my apartment, it was manageable.
"Thank you so much." I told her as I paid, and she left down the narrow, wearied down staircase. Only down a little bit of hallway was the door to my place. Only my place.
I smiled brightly with anticipation and began hauling myself and the suitcases closer. I had fetched the key earlier, so opening was easy. The door opened with a creek to present a bit of a dusty apartment. It was evening, but the summer was still at its absolute high, so I could see how the dust flew around the room in the sunbeams, covering the furniture. I took a deep breath. It needed just a bit of help, and it would be perfect!
