TW: Death threats, sexual content and nonconsensual touching
Cause I-I-I'm in the stars tonight-
"-So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight~" Marina sung and danced along to the radio as we both laughed at her little performance. I put down my beer on Mr. Yang's restaurants table and grinned at her, a bit tipsy. It was summer after all.
"You should do a dance cover. Like those in public!" I exclaimed and she snorted at my comment, sipping her beer. "No way. I don't think I would've been able to handle the staring. But then again, the world does deserve to see these moves." She wiggled her eyebrows and I grimaced, feigning gagging. "Yuck, that was so corny."
"Just telling the truth babes." She winked at me. If Young-soo was here he would've glared at the both of us for our flirty ways, but nature called so here we were. Marina leaned closer over the table, the faint, sour smell of alcohol on her lips."You should join us tomorrow, you know. We're gonna take my dad's car and drive to the ocean. It would be nice to cool down." I sighed at the thought of sand between my toes and the salty wind in my hair, leaning back in my seat whilst gnawing on my bottom lip.
"Ugh, I wish I could. This heat is melting me." I said, glancing out the window and into the slowly darkening twilight. "But Jungkook and the others are flying tomorrow, and I promised to be there. It's a longer trip and I would really like to say bye." Marina hummed, an interested glint in her eyes from whenever I spoke of Jungkook.
"Ahhh, so do you know what they're planned to do?" She asked, tilting her head and I tapped my chin in though, trying to think with my slightly clouded and dazed mind. "Just all kind of promotions for Dynamite I guess. Like America's Got Talent, and a whole lot of other things. Interviews, you know?"Marina eagerly nodded, obviously well informed as a fellow fan. Dynamite of course rose to the top immediately. Just like I had predicted, I'd like to note proudly. Number one on Billboard hot 100 and all things like. Jungkook had been shocked and wouldn't stop gushing about it for a week straight, which was a completely fair and valid reaction. I was so proud of him and all the members.
The faint playing of Dynamite brought me back to reality and I continued to eating my kalguksu, just like I had done a year back. The only difference was that well... everything had changed from when I first ordered the dish alone from Mr. Yang, to now here with my friends. I guess I had changed a lot over the year too. I liked to think myself stronger, happier and more of a force. All the efforts and challenges from the past year had led to this, and I was now thriving. Blooming like a flower that had waited way too long for the sun to shine upon it.
"Hey, what were you guys talking about?" Young-soo asked as he returned. Marina smiled, rubbing his thigh when he sat down again, and spoke with a lovey smile on her face. "Oh nothing." She glanced at me, our little secret. No one could know, not even Young-soo. It would be way too risky, and if people knew, hell would practically rain down.
"Oh wow." He groaned and glared at us. Marina pecked his cheek, which immediately turned red like a rose petal. "Sorry bub. It's girl talk." When said man frowned and his glasses hung low, Marina edged it on and shrugged. "I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear about how our stressful periods synced up and now were both in distress and blee-"
"OKAY! Marina!" I cried out as I saw Young-soo's horrified face, void and drained of all color.
"Forget me asking..." He muttered to himself and picked at his food while my cheeks burned. "Jesus Christ," I shot at Marina and she merely grinned back, managing to make us all laugh it off. Oh, how I loved spending time with these two.Next day I found myself at the Bangtan dorm, all the guys running around stressed with their suitcases, trying to make it in time, all the while Jungkook was making instant ramen in the kitchen, completely calm amid the chaos.
"JIMIN?! DID YOU STEAL MY SHOWER GEL? YOU KNOW I CAN'T SHOWER WITHOUT IT!" Hoseok yelled from somewhere inside the massive dorm and I leaned back, watching the chaos unravel, as Jimin yelled back something about how he wouldn't steal it, and how Hoseok really needed to stop accusing him of all those things, and besides it was probably Namjoon who was always so aloof before travelling. Of course making sure to mention the time poor Joonie lost his passport. I chuckled to myself. I sure would miss them.
