Don't you just love a Christmas chapter during the midst of summer
I am so soft for this chapter...

"Don't you want to go see your parents?" Jungkook asked one particular night where we cuddled up on his comfy hotel bed to a drama on TV. I pulled back from our half hug to look at him clearly with furrowed brows. His question had come out of nothing. Our stay here in Los Angeles was slowly coming to an end as the guys' activities did so, and the trip home was only in a few days. "I can't make it in time? We're leaving tomorrow."
The confusion on my face must've been as apparent as spring water because Jungkook paused the television to give me his full attention. "No idiot. We just won't go with the others. We'll take another flight, and you'll return home after Christmas."
"What do you mean we?" I asked, suddenly intrigued, and tilted my head. Outside it was raining again, cold and clammy weather, but inside Jungkook's room it was nice and toasty.
"Or just you, I don't have to come if you don't want me to. I just thought that now that you were in the U.S, why not go celebrate the holidays with your family?" He shrugged and absentmindedly slurped a noodle from his ramyeon cup. I furrowed my brows even further. "And you would just not go with the others or?"
"Nah, I'll probably just stay in the states afterwards for Dick Clarks New Year's Rockin' Eve. If you even want me to come that is. Then I'll meet your parents." He said and wiggled his eyebrows with a gleaming and snarky smile. "I'll ask your dad and mom if I can date you and then we'll be a proper couple." I groaned. "Okay okay! We'll go, but only as long as you don't ask them."
"Can't promise," He chuckled and came closer with his noodle-sauce covered lips for a kiss. I shrieked and tried to cover my face. "Jungkook-ah!" He only laughed further and slurped a noodle.

"So we would take a flight to Pennsyl-" I began but Jungkook slurped another noddle. Very loudly. I ignored it and resumed. "- to Pennsylvania on Christmas day, or?" Jungkook shrugged. "Probably."
"And then I'll just head home by-" I tried again, but Jungkook slurped another noodle. Aggressively slurped and stirred the food with his chopsticks. I eyed him and he remained untouched, happily existing with his noodles. "By my-" Another fucking noodle.
"Jungkook! Can you wait with the noodles for two seconds?! I'm trying to talk. Thank you!" He slowly put the noodles down with pout. I sighed deeply and gave his lil sprout head a friendly pat and continued talking. "As I was about to say- by myself?" Jungkook wiggled himself closer to me like a worm and burrowed his head in the fabric of my shirt, that was actually his shirt (Yes, I had kept it once again), around the stomach area. He sighed and made himself comfortable, using me as a pillow. "Mhmm,"
I groaned. This man was way too busy cuddling during our very not-so-serious-serious conversation. I'm not going to lie and say I didn't love it though, because I did. "Is that a yes?" I asked.
"Yes." He muffled back.
"Great."

Jungkook and I stayed at the hotel for a few more days before secretly heading for the airport as undercover normal citizens. My Christmas spirit was finally beginning to live up to its fullest as we walked around in the airport which was decorated with the most beautiful Christmas decorations. Spruce garlands hung from the loft and flashing lights, bells, and Christmas baubles in red, white and gold adorned the dark green needles. Painting the otherwise busy and bothered airport in a cozy and warm light. Pop-ish and overplayed Christmas tunes sounded sweetly from the speakers and sent me down a path of my childhood as a wave of nostalgia and memories washed over me. I couldn't help but squeeze Jungkook's arm tighter and stare in awe at the sparkling lights. Oh, I had missed Christmas. Especially Christmas with my family, suddenly I missed them more than anything. Good thing we would be seeing them soon enough, on the 24th. AKA later today, although much later than firstly anticipated. A snowstorm had appeared in Pennsylvania so we had to wait for the snow to subside, which of course meant we would first be arriving for dinner time. So, we had a lot of time to kill in the airport.
