A day out in Pisa

The next morning after settling in the night before, me, Mum, Andy, Melachi and Amira woke up early to surprise Mika we hid behind the stone wall separating the kitchen. Andy held a bunch of flowers and I had a small cake. Andy hushed us as the sound of a car pulling up could be heard up and Mika could be heard getting out of the car and thanking the driver and hoping he had a brilliant day. Then the door opened.

"SURPRISE!" Andy and I shouted.

Mum was silent but still gave a grin and a smile. The dogs ran over to Mika. He got on his knees in order to give Melachi and Amira hugs and kisses, they licked his face happily and barked, happy to see their Dad was back home after being almost always in Rome for the last few weeks. "Whats all this?"  Mika smiled brightly as Andy gave him a hug and the bunch of flowers and I gave him the cake. Mum held herself up against the stone wall and kept her distance but still had a big smile on her face. "Ahhh cake for breakfast! Why the hell not?" He grinned as he held the cake above his head before delicately putting it on the coffee table in the living room. "Andy darling, grab some plates from the kitchen! Michelle, Georgia, take a seat!" Mika sat down at the Sofa adjacent to the table and gestured for us to sit down. I sat down next to Mika and Mum sat across from us. He gave me a big hug and a Kiss on the top of my head as I sat down.

"So, I was thinking, Since Andy and the dogs are in Venice for the next few days due to a project, us three should have a day out In Pisa since I know you two haven't been able to explore this beautiful country that much." Mika looked at me and my Mum still in a long continuous smile. 

"I'd take you guys all with me but the last thing I think you and your Mother needs is a load of press in your faces asking personal questions" Andy walked back over to us with the plates and cut up the cake for all of us before taking a piece for himself. "Anyway me and the dogs need to finish packing for Venice as we're setting off in an hour." Andy tucked into the cake slice and called Melachi and Amira.

"I'd rather not go, I still need settling in time and this is all very sudden, sorry." Mum finally spoke to him with a straight face she stood up and yawned and stretched. "I'm tired and back off to sleep." she scratched her head and carried herself back of to bed. Mika's smile ended and he looked down at the floor all upset with a frowning face.

"It's ok, I'm still up for It." I told Mika after a few moments of awkward silence. He bounced up almost immediately, still clearly a bit confused about my mums actions but still happy to be going somewhere.

"Brilliant!" He smiled."We'll be there in a jiffy!" he opened up his phone and ordered a car to the house."Here's a credit card by the way, I think you should treat yourself!" He handed me a card.

After Mika gave his well wishes to Andy and waved him and the girls off to Venice. I said goodbye to Mum and Mika and I set off to Pisa. It took a while through the winding roads of the tuscany country side. Mika made it his mission to point out little details about the country side and the little villages we passed through. Eventually we arrived in Pisa. "Here we are, Beautiful Pisa, such a shame we have to wear masks and you're Mum couldn't join us but we'll still have some fun eh?" Mika took out his phone and took pictures of the quieter than usual Pisa streets."C'mon, lets get some Ice cream and a bite to eat then we'll do the touristy stuff!" Mika smiled as he got out the van and held my hand as i stepped out after him.

We walked through the ancient streets of Pisa but even here Mika had to keep a low profile, Every few  yards there was some sort of poster with his face on it. Some were old ones partially ripped apart promoting his cancelled tour, some were for his latest album but most of them were for X factor that reminded me of yesterday when Andy told me I wouldn't be able to take part despite all the work I had done to even get an audition. That set off a little bit of rage in me and I needed an answer from Mika as to why he didn't tell me 2 days ago I couldn't take part in X Factor. Mika sat me down on a blanket infront of the leaning tower of Pisa whilst he went off to get the ice cream. I decided I'd question him when he came back.

"Icecream for you and a lollipop for me." Mika reappeared behind me with a strawberry and vanilla cornetto and a Fab. he handed me the cornetto and sat down in the sun beside me, his face mask off but a baseball cap still hid most of his features as compared to the small streets of Pisa there were a lot more people infront of the tower sun bathing, In the distance Mika even noticed a song of his was playing.

"Good Gone Girl!"Mika commented "I wrote that about your Mum, she called herself Georgia the first time I met her but quickly gave up the lie. Wrote that song not knowing you existed sounds a little awkward now." Mika huffed. I decided now was the time to politely ask him about X factor.  

"So Mika, Dad or whatever you want to be called." Mika turned his head with a smile to look at me and wonder what I was about to say. "Why didn't you tell me about not being able to do X Factor the other day or at least tell Mum?" His face stopped smiling, he must of known I was slightly upset.

"Oh your audition will still go through don't worry as long as we keep the relationship undercover and as for your Mum, I think she was a little too ill for me to get a word in the other day." Mika dismissed the disagreement and carried on eating the Fab. I was still annoyed though. Did he plan to hide me and my mum away? No way!

"You could of told it to my face instead of letting Andy reveal it to me and my Mum, I spent weeks and weeks saving up to get to Rome, I went hungry for days, I bought a new keyboard and took extra singing lessons and now you waltz in and leave me in this dilemma!" I started to shout slightly.

"Shhh Georgia, I think you're overr-" Mika tried to hush me, looking back I did overreact *slightly*

"What 'Dad' Overreacting! MIKA! Tell me to my face right now, are you gonna be my Dad and let me still have that audition on stage and go through the entire show pretending you don't know me? Eighteen years I have waited for My father to show up and Solve our issues but no, mum wont speak a word or leave your house and You just toss me money and icecream to try and win me over. If you really cared you would of came back for Mum. All these mental health problems are all your fault!!" At this point I was in tears, Mika took his cap off and placed it on my head I looked up briefly to see his eyes puffed up. He was deadly silent and seemed rather upset with what I said. People around us were looking on in shock and had their phones out.

"I'm Getting a taxi home." I wept and stormed off over to a nearby taxi rank. The entire journey back I cried and cried regretting what I said but relieved I got 18 years of pain out my mind. As the taxi pulled upto Mika's farm house an hour and a bit later My phone went crazy.

#MikaIsABadDad and #GeorgiaPenniman were Trending over twitter and I already had tons of message requests from Mika fans and New paper journalists. I looked on twitter to see pictures and video's of my short rant and people swarming around Mika after I left and he looked very angry.

"Georgia! what on earth is this?!" I Heard my Mum scream my name.

Oh no.
