I Didn't have any overly smart clothes as I didn't expect a meeting but Mika quickly fixed that, he of course he knew some designers in the city, within 10 minutes the designer was at the door with a black Jacket, white top and jeans for me and a Smart-casual navy blue suit jacket and black jeans for Mika. He had a coffee and freshened himself up, luckily the red mark and swelling under his eye has reduced to almost unnoticeable levels. I brushed my hair and decided to leave it down, It was unstraightened and curly but not wild. "Breakfast then a car will come get us." Mika smiled as he looked at his phone.

"No." I said

"No?" He enquired.

"I'm not getting a car for a 15 minute walk. We need fresh air." I said. I was sick of Mika getting cars to transport us everywhere plus getting a car would mean we would reach the meeting quicker and I need time to calm my feelings before hand and i could think of no better way than walking through beautiful Florence.

"Oh, ok but will we have enough time for breakfast?" Mika asked looking at the clock on his phone, It was nearly 7:30am.

"We'll eat a Bacon sandwich on route, come on." I picked up my phone and the room keys and Put my converses on. Mika nodded I guessed he was still getting used to having me around and not splashing out cash for once. He smiled and let me out the room first. We walked down the endless stairs and to the hotel Dining room.

"Two Bacon Sandwiches to take away please."  I said confidently to the waitress as we entered the dining room. It was clear some of the guests noticed us but they didn't come up or say hi, just took a few pictures on their phones and nodded in our direction. within 3 minutes we had our breakfast and was on our way to the hospital for a meeting. Mika kept quiet the entire journey there, I could tell he was hiding something again but I didn't let it get to me.

About 5 minutes from the hospital I noticed a flash, then another and another and a few people approaching us. I had an idea of who they were although I knew Mika would confirm it soon.
"Italian Paparazzi. Probably got a tip off someone." Mika mumbled. "Ignore them and smile." He said under his breath slightly annoyed. They followed us up to the hospital doors and thats when they started with questions and more press waited by the door. I could tell Mika was furious but he was so good at hiding it.We walked inside the hospital and out of sight of the press.

"I don't know what to do." Mika huffed and rubbed his head. I lifted an eyebrow to enquire what he was on about. "I'm absolutely terrible at being a Dad. I try to keep you safe from the press, I fail at that as you've just seen, I struggle with understanding you and your Mum's emotions, I feel as if I am Just an extra complicated add on to you and your Mums journey through life. I mean I didn't even feel as if we were related the first time we spoke." Mika leaned on the wall and slid down it, eventually he was sat on the floor with his head in his hands. I looked at him. These last few days clearly had an effect on him and it had just hit home for him. "Now I have to leave you and your Mum again as I'm due back in Rome tomorrow evening." His voice trembled.

"It's OK, You didn't have a clue about me or how bad Mum had gotten. Whatever happens in that meeting will not impact us getting used to a new way of life. Maybe in another universe you Knew about me, in another we may of never met but in this one we are both learning about each other bit by bit, I may not be able to control my emotions very well and you may not understand them very well but we will learn what to do whatever happens after this meeting." I smiled sweetly. Us singing this morning really gave me hope that we could genuinley be a happy and understanding duo and we could help mum fight through her illness together. He smiled at me sweetly. Yes he'd be away a lot due to his commitments and so would mum but we could really have a chance at being family.

"C'mon, 'Dad' Time to get your self straightened up, old man we have to be strong and bold today." I half teased with a silly smile.

"Oh come on I may be the father to a beautiful young lady but I'm only 36, and aren't you supposed to be at school?" He laughed at me in return as he grabbed by hand an pulled himself up.  "I don't think I'll ever get used to being called Dad."

"Ah Michael, Georgia Penniman. We expect you at meeting." A nurse came up to us and spoke in very broken English.

"Oh we have different Last names." Mika and I replied in italian at almost the exact same time.

"Well I can tell you two are related." The nurse laughed in italian.

"Really?" Mika and I both looked at each other and spoke in the same tone with an almost identical expression.

The nurse led Mika and I into a room with a doctor and a social worker and a police officer inside. No sign of Mum. we sat down on a couch opposite to them.

"Hi, Im Emma, This is Dr Giuseppe and PC Farina," The social worker introduced the officials

"Thank you both for attending this meeting so last minute, I understand you are both responsible adults Michelle lives with along with your partner Andy, Mika." The social worker started speaking softly. "We best get straight to the point. The doctors and the police and I believe its in Ms Marina's best interests to stay in Florence city for the foreseeable future, this will include a police controlled curfew where she will have to gain permission to leave Florence for more than a few hours per week." As the social worker spoke I was upset as It meant Mum not being able to stay at Mika's anymore but at least I could still see and live with her. "I also understand you heard rumours of this Mr Penniman and have already sorted out accommodation for her and will be able to move Michelle in by the time you go back to Rome tomorrow." The Social worker said.

Mika nodded and for the next few minutes the Social worker, police officer and doctor discussed Mums condition and recovery plan(Thankfully she was ok but It was a long road ahead) and Where she was going to live. Mika had managed to buy a adequatley sized flat 20 minutes from

"So, Georgia, I know you are an adult now but where would you like to stay, with your Dad and Andy or Your Mother?" The social worker asked.

"With My Mum." I replied, Mika looked a little down but I knew deep down he understood the reasons why and that I loved her too much to leave her in a condition like this. "B-but I'd still like to see and stay over at Mika's often.  We both need to learn how to be a functioning family. Mika Has been thrown into being my Dad at the REALLY deep end and this was all very sudden and a shock to me given my Mum's health."

Soon after the meeting ended and mika tapped me on the shoulder. "Hey Georgy." He'd already invented a nickname for me. "Heres the address and keys for your Ma's new flat, Its a 20ish minute walk." Mika gave me the adress "I'll go try and work on getting your Mum there now." Mika smiled and began walking off.

"Can I get a car this time, Press and all." I shouted down the hallway. "Sometimes living like a Popstars daughter has its downfalls!" I laughed.

"Sure!" Mika waved his hand in the air as he spoke.

I hopped out the private entrance to the hospital and straight into a blacked out Minivan that took me to my Mums and my new apartment. It wasn't the poshest flat of them all but it was very humble and had plenty of room but was cosy enough to call home. I explored the apartment for about half an hour when i heard the front door open. It was Mika followed by a very dirty and clearly hungover and tired Mum, I smiled a supportive smile at her and she gave a weak grin back before heading immediately to the new bedroom and shutting the door.

"I think she's gonna be quiet for a while." Mika rubbed his head with a look of concern. "I'm sorry I have to jet off again tomorrow, I wish I could stay forever but I must leave. Every moment I'm not bogged down with work I will spend It with you, I promise, Andy agrees and I'm pretty certain the dogs do too." Mika looked me in the eyes lovingly. "Andy's getting some people organised to move your stuff here today and this place will be more homely than it already is." Mika smiled looking up from my eyes and round the apartment with a grin.

"Thank you, Mika, one day may call you dad and not be freaked out." I chuckled slightly and gave him a big hug.
