A Small period of Bliss

The next couple of days were filled with a calm bliss, Andy came round with Sharky and Moo the day after Mika left for Rome to help me and Mum settle in. He brought in the rickety piano Me and my Mum found whilst we lived in the bedsit and let me take the dogs out for a walk. I kept my hair up and put on some makeup when I went out as I was scared the paparazzi would show up and start asking really personal questions again. I loved having Andy around In Mika's absence. He brought fresh herbs and spices from The house in the Tuscany hills and even taught me a little greek so I could show of to Mika that I could understand greek and he couldn't. He even bought groceries and Medication for my Mum.

After a couple of days Mika told me he was coming back from Rome. I couldn't wait to see him and tell him about how amazing Andy had been and I wanted to show him some of his songs I'd learned to play on the piano. I also really wanted to asking how Italy was. The end of july had passed and now I couldn't wait to see Mika again now August was firmly here. I waited patiently by the door as Mum sat watching the TV and not really bothered at the imminent arrival of my Dad. Soon enough there was a knock at the door.

I ran over to the door and opened it excitedly. "My god its a cold caller." I laughed pretending to shut the door. Mika grinned sweetly. "Would a cold caller bring back bags of Delicious ingredients from a market In Rome?" Mika held up two large paper bags full to the brim with vegetables and other food. "I hope you and your Mum are hungry!" I let him into the flat and he put down the bags onto the kitchen worktop and took off his coat off. "Michelle would you Like to help us make some Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce?" Mika called over to mum in a Trans Atlantic accent. Mum shook her head and carried on watching the TV. She was always so quiet around Mika and Andy but was happy chatty an bubbly around me. "Ok, we'll still make you some though, come on Georgy!" Mika rolled up the sleeves of his pastel blue jumper and pulled out a pale red apron from his bag. "Here you go, You where this red apron and i'll wear this white one!" Mika smiled. "Let me teach you how to make Tomato and spaghetti how my Muma taught me!"

Mika started chopping up some tomatoes and he signalled for me to start cutting up some cloves of garlic from one of the brown paper bags. He hummed to himself as we chopped away.

"You know what I need." I said to mika.

"MUSIC!" we both said. I went into my room and picked up a blue tooth speaker and La Bamba started playing, It was my mums favourite song and I was slightly hopeful it would pull her out of her shell slightly. We started wiggling along to the song and cooking along to the beat. we listened to more songs and Cooked some more, Mika taught me some family secrets.

just before the meal was done cooking Mika turned to Georgia. "Would you like to come to see the X factor set with me tomorrow? could make for a fun bit of bonding time."He smiled.

"Michelle, Is that ok? we will need to leave this evening but we will call you everyday." Mika called over to Michelle.

"Yeah thats ok but I want her back home Within two nights,  The, 5th of August? You get that?" Michelle turned around to look at Mika.

"Its only the 3rd today so having the entire of tomorrow will do just amazingly, Thank you Michelle!" He smiled before sniffing the air. "Dinner is almost ready! Girls go sit at the table, I'll bring it over in a jiffy!"

Mum got up from the sofa and walked over to the Dining room table and sat down in the chair next to me. She gave me a reassuring smile to indicate she was ok and not going to freak out. 

"May I present to you, Muma's Tomato Sauce and spaghetti, As soon as we can we need to meet my Mum because although this is scrumptious no one does it quite like her!" Mika put two large bowls down in front of Georgia and Michelle. Mika had a huge plate to himself and started wolfing it down.

"This is Amazing, well done you two!" Mum smiled, I smiled in return as she was actually talking to Mika for once and not slating him or trying to attack him."I didn't know you were such a good cook, either of you, Must run in the family." Mum said neatly eating the food. soon enough we finished eating and tidied everything away.

"I'm gonna start packing for X factor right away! I smiled. I could finally have a day with Mika where I could have a look into his life and get to understand my dad without having to worry about Mums mental health or being outed by the press for not getting along with Mika.

A couple of hours later Mika and I walked out the front door and decided to travel by Train instead of 'big fancy private van.' Mum walked with us down to the train station but Kept her face as hidden as possible under a mask, baseball cap and sunglasses, Unlike me she really couldn't cope with Mika's lifestyle and didn't want any part of it.

eventually we got to the train station entrance. I hugged Mum goodbye and Mika shook her hand and we went to get a train. Once inside a few people noticed us and came over for autographs and selfies, Luckily due to covid we weren't swarmed by the fans and they were rather respectful and kept their distance.

soon enough the train arrived and Mika and I hopped on the first class carriage.

"This is gonna be epic. Thank you for Inviting me!" I smiled at Mika.
