When I returned back to the Bedsit, Mum was there, she looked an awful lot more healthier and happier, the stay in the mental health unit must of helped her somewhat. She was cooking some pasta and humming along to a tune, I'm guessing it was one of Mika's.

"so, where did you go?" She asked sweetly, putting a bowl of Ravioli in my hands. I decided not to tell her the truth, even if she remembered me telling her of the audition, I could not bare her relapsing into poor mental health asking about Michael or 'Mika' again. I had grown tired of all her mental health problems over the last few months.

"Oh I decided to do some busking in Rome Mummy, bit of a Silly move, spent more money on travel than I made performing." I said as I ate the ravioli. "Wanted to run into a music producer or something, get us out of this hell hole haha." My Mum smiled at me daftly as she sat down next to me with her bowl Ravioli.

"Oh Georgia, I cannot thank you enough, you don't need to busk to get us more money, I am sure one day soon our fate will change and we'll tour america maybe." Mum hugged me and gave me a kiss.

my Mama who I'd lost months before was back.

A few days past, Mum and I were closer than ever, we were been talking about where we will go when the lockdowns end and she even started a new journal called "Stories of Our Lockdown In Italia" We sang Songs together, Picked up an out of tune piano we found discarded on a side street and spent an entire day getting it into out bedsit and finding enough room for it.

Then, on a rainy day, there was a knock on the door, My mums ears and eyes shot up. She knew that knock 100%, I felt a mental breakdown was about to happen. "Don't worry mum, I'll answer it." I smiled, giving her a hug.I slowly walked over to the door knowing a potential ghost from my Mums past stood on the other side. I prayed it wasn't my grandmother or anyone from her farm. I opened the door to see him there. Mika. He smiled at the door of our bedsit in a flat cap, black jeans and a dark blue raincoat covering a green suit jacket underneath he held an umbrella in his right hand

"Hi." Mika rather shyly said as he took off his soaked flat cap. "I couldn't help but pay you a visit after your audition, may I come in?" he smiled sweetly. I moved out the way of the door and he walked into our small apartment. Mum had wondered off into our Small toilet. It was understandable, whenever she needed a moment to process something she'd would find herself a private spot and try and control her emotions. Mika spotted the piano and made a beeline for it. "This big old thing takes up a bit of room doesn't it?" He lifted the lid and a familiar melody started coming out of it.

"We'll start where we left, Over my shoulder." Mika smiled. As the melody of the song started. I quickly went to go pick up the bag of my mums Journals to find the little purple diary with the lyrics in.

"Michael Holbrook penniman Junior." Mikas face suddenly dropped and his eyes widened and I saw a slight tear form. My Mum stood behind him with a neutral face, her arms crossed, I saw she'd been crying and hastily tried to hide it. Mika slowly turned around from the piano and stood up from the battered piano stool. He walked over to Mum, tears in his eyes and hugged her tightly, not even giving her a chance to wrap her arms around his, she stood there awkwardly as she held her tightly.

"Michelle, how long has it been? What are you doing in Florence?" Mika smiled. I couldn't help but smile either as had always dreamed of my Mother finally meeting her mysterious Michael.

"I can't believe its you, 18 years, I thought you had forgotten about me, I waited for you and you never came back!I travelled the world hoping you'd see me in a crowd and you never did" Mum shouted as she burst into tears and went to slap Mika's face.

"MUM! Calm down!" I got in between them. "Remember your advice from the hospital." Mika almost hid behind me as if he had no idea how to act. "Go to sleep, headphones in." I stood up straight and guided her over to the bed. "I'll be a couple of minutes calming her, look around I guess." I told him as I got mums headphones and old battered mp3 player. and hugged her until she drifted off to sleep. I quietly got up and sat on the sofa at the bottom of the bed

"So, You really are related to me." Mika placed the purple diary and pregnancy diary on the sofa arm next to me. "I didn't dare read further ahead, I don't think I could cope with missing out on so much. I wish I didn't stay home after your mother left that night."He softly cried and gave me a hug. "How long have you been like this? I cannot let you two stay here like this!" he said.

He looked over at my sleeping mum and then picked up a picture frame of me and my mum in LA in 2007.

"Since February, Mums mental health has plagued her since we stopped travelling, we were trying to get to Greece before the boarders shut but we got stuck here, In Florence." I began to weep.

Mika sat down next to me and pulled both of us into a hug.

"No More of this, I will not let my family, live like this." softly spoke."I have a beautiful daughter." His voice lightened up slightly as I heard the rain outside begin to fall faster.
