It's been two weeks since I told Serena that I was going to leave. I'm catching a flight to Los Angeles tonight. I had everything ready to go, I just need to get on the plane. Before I go I plan to say bye to Serena. I know she doesn't want to speak to me, but I have to say bye. On my way to the airport I stopped at Serena's apartment. I stood in front of her door ready to knock, How do you say bye to somebody you want to be with forever. I knocked on the door and it soon opened.
"A-Amelia? W-What are you doing here?"
"I came to say bye to you before I leave. I never knew our relationship would going to get this far before I left. I thought I could just say bye then leave, but I can't do that with you. It's hard to just say bye and leave somebody you want to be with forever. I'm sorry for leaving, but while I'm still here I'd like to say that what we had was one of the best experiences in my life and I want you to know that"
Serena grabbed me and hugged me tightly, her head on my shoulder. I held her tightly. She raised her head and looked at me with tears running down her face.
"I'm going to miss you so much you know that."
"I know... I have to go now. I have a plane to catch."
"Goodbye Amelia...."
We released each other from the hug and I made my way out the building and into a taxi. On my way to the airport, I just kept replaying the scene and over in my head. Goodbye Amelia. I couldn't even say goodbye. I don't want it to be goodbye. I want to see her again. Maybe I will, I didn't say goodbye.
