My head was officially throbbing. Well more than it already was before. Turns out mixing alcohol with a two-week-old head injury is not the best idea.
But, today was my first full day back to classes and I wasn't going to be late. Especially since first hour is Mr. Stan's class and that man makes me wanna punch him every time I see his smug face.
A knock on the door sounded through the dorm room as I went to open it. Flo had already been up for two hours and was in the shower, hogging up all the hot water.
"Hey!" Lizzie smiled as I swung the door open. I held a hand up, shaking my head as she covered her mouth with her palm. "Sorry!" She whispered, "I brought water and Advil."
"I love you," I mumbled back, quickly swallowing the pills without another thought and plopping back down onto my bed.
"So how do you feel about going back today?" Lizzie asked, still keeping a quiet tone. I shrugged, "I'm nervous but I have to go back at some point." She nodded, sitting beside me as we both listened to the shower running in the next room. "Well, I hope no one gives you trouble, and let me know if you need anything." I slowly sat up, only to drop my head in Lizzie's lap.
"Thank you," I mumbled into her thigh. She laughed, patting my head. "Of course," Suddenly she stood, almost making me tumble off the bed only to catch myself last minute. "Now you need to get ready!"
"Ow!" I covered my ears at her loud voice, flipping my middle finger up at her. "You're gonna make me regret letting you in!"
She laughed, "I give you pain meds and you don't be late for class." With a wave, she closed the door behind her.
Flo came from the bathroom a minute later in only a towel as she wrung out her blonde hair, "Lizzie?"
I nodded, "Yeah."
"Well, you heard her," Flo dropped the towel, changing into a bra and panties, "Get the fuck up and get ready."
I groaned, falling back onto my bed and covering my face with a pillow.

"Nice to see you so early." Mr. Stan commented as I walked past him. I was genuinely tired of this man and his mood swings. Which wasn't much of a swing. He was mostly a grumpy asshole.
"What the hell is your problem?" I snapped back, lowering my voice so other students wouldn't hear.
"What did you just say to me?" He turned, the cup of coffee in his hands looking like it would break under the pressure of his fist. "Don't think for one second that just because you're fucking a professor that means you get a ticket out of shit."
I was speechless. How did he know?
"How did you-"
"Know?" He interrupted, making me nod.
Mr. Stan stepped toward me slightly yet I stood my ground. "Maybe you should know everything about the people you sleep with before you jump into the sheets with them."
I gulped, "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
He shrugged, "Ask your boyfriend."
I shook my head, "He's not my-"
"Goodmorning Robert!" Mr. Stan interjected, ignoring me as Professor Downey walked past us. "Morning, Sebastian." He looked me up and down, "Miss Jacklynn."
"It's Johnson." I deadpanned, watching his face turn from confusion to a smirk within seconds, "I knew that. Was just checking to see if you did."
I groaned, pulling my bag higher on my shoulder, "I hate this school."
