Chapter 59

This chapter will have a small time skip!

Three months went by.

Victor's birthday was a month ago when he had turned 13. He didn't want anything big on his birthday so we didn't do anything, he had Michael over to eat dinner with us.

It made my heart hurt knowing that Our kids are growing up so fast.

During these three months, Sam, the others, and I have been planning for a small hang-out trip.

We plan on going to Florida and staying at a beach house for a week.

"Babe, are you almost done packing!" I called out to Sam as I texted the group chat, we were all meeting at Kevin's house (which is near) he had rented two huge RVs that would fit all of us in each one.

We are gonna drive to Florida besides going on a plane. We just thought it would be fun driving there besides going there on a plane, we wanted to try something new.

"Yes! Meet you down any minute!" He called back and I nodded as I looked at my parents.

"Thanks, for watching the kids while we're in Florida," I said as I hugged them.

I felt a little bad that we always have to ask them to babysit the kids for us. But they tell us that it is alright and that they don't mind.

"Of course! I love watching my grandbabies." My mom grinned as I smiled.

"And you guys deserve a break." My dad said as Sam came down the stairs with his suitcase.

"Ready?" He asked with a smile as I looked at him.

"Ready."

"Hey, Kevin!" I said as Sam and I pulled into his driveway.

"Hey, guys! Long time no see, glad you guys came over to see how hot I am." He made a Superman pose causing Sam and me to laugh.

"Yeah, you're pretty hot." I joked with a wink causing Sam to gasp.

"Babe!" He said, acting offended by putting his hand on his chest dramatically.

"I'm just kidding!" I laughed as our friends pulled into the driveway.

The people that were joining us on our trip is Jake, Tara, Reggie, Cassie, Ariya, Xepher, Griffen, Corey, Devyn, Aaron, Chase, and Katrina.

Corey and Devyn's relationship was complicated at first, they were together and broke up, and again, but after a long break from each other, they realized that they love each other and started dating again, they have been dating for about 5 years.

Griffin and Xepher sadly broke up with each other but stayed as good friends.

Ariya and Kevin are the only ones in the group that haven't found someone, well last time I checked, they were single.

We all greeted each other with hugs and laughs, we all haven't seen each other for so long so it was wonderful to meet again.

Since there were two RV'S, Kevin was driving the first one, and Griffin was driving the second one.

Sam, Katrina, Chase, Ariya, Devyn, Reggie, and I are gonna be in Kevin's RV. The others will be in Griffin RV.

"Woah, this RV is huge!" Reggie said as everyone looked inside the RV.

"I know, that's why I rented it," Kevin said with a grin as I sat down on the couch that was in here, Sam sitting next to me. Bailey, laying his head on my leg.

I, of course, tagged him along with us, everyone knew about my PTSD.

I was honestly trying my hardest to act like I was so excited to go on this trip like the others are, but postpartum was kicking my a$$ today.

I just wanted to be happy, not sad.

"Are you okay, my love?" Sam whispered for only me to hear, and I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lied with a smile, I didn't want him to worry about me, well not today at least.

Sam grabbed my hand as I looked at everyone, they were all putting their belongings on their bunk beds.

"Wait! Who in the h*ll has the big bed to themselves?!" Reggie yelled causing Sam and me to sniffle a laugh.

"Colby and I do, Kevin told us that it's ours." Sam grinned as Reggie made a groaning sound.

"Kevin, why!!" Kevin laughed.

"Because y'all are big babies, Sam and Colby are kinda like the responsible parents that deserve the big bed." He said as I lay on the big bed, it was very comfy, I was gonna have a good night's rest in here.

"He does have a point there," Devyn says as Sam laid next to me, grabbing my hand, giving me comfort causing me to smile.

"But you two better NOT have sex!" Ariya yelled causing everyone to laugh, I blushed as I looked at Sam.

"Oh we won't, don't worry," Sam said and looked up and down at me.

By knowing Mr. horn dog here, he was lying.

We were now on the road, we already had ordered some food so we were all eating it now.

I have gotten a salad and Sam got a hamburger with fries.

"Are you gonna eat your salad?" Sam asked, nudging my shoulder and I shrugged.

"I don't feel hungry, sorry," I muttered and put down my salad on the small table stand we had.

"That's okay, you can eat later. I am not mad." He said as he rubbed my back, gladly nobody was hearing our conversation.

These past days I've been struggling, especially with eating, I was trying my best to eat but whenever I would, I would barf it all out.

"Thanks for understanding," I said quietly as he pulled me into him.

"Of course, I know you're struggling. I won't push you." He muttered when he stuffed his head on my hair, as he spoke.

I wanted to be happy, I was hoping that I wouldn't feel drained on this trip, but I was wrong. I felt drained and exhausted.

I felt the need to hide from this world.

I closed my eyes at the thought, I could feel the tears brimming my eyes as I stuffed my head in his chest.

It was like this for a while until I felt myself falling asleep in his arms.

"Hey, Bro, we're gonna listen to some music, and eating some snacks that we have, wanna join us?" Chase asked quietly, probably noticing that I was "sleeping."

"I wish that I could, but I am just gonna stay here with Colby, just in case." He said as I frown slightly.

I wanted him to join and have fun with them.

"I understand man, if you change your mind, we'll be in the front," Chase said before I heard him closing the curtains that we had.

I snuggled into Sam closer as he covered us with a soft, fluffy blanket.

"I love you, my love. I promise that tomorrow will be better." He said quietly and I felt warmth in my heart.

He meant so much to me.
