Chapter 58

"Oh my God," I spoke with wide eyes, the box had Sam's picture all over it, words written all over it. Murderer. You killed Caleb.

"This must be a joke," Sam said and I looked at him.

Even though I knew this must be a joke but something in my gut was telling me that he did kill someone. Or with someone.

"Is it?" I asked and looked at him.

"Yeah it must be, why would I kill someone." He said and I rested my hands on my hips.

"You always told me that you wanted to kill Caleb, I did too but why would someone come here, with a box, that has pictures of you and have words 'you killed Caleb, you're a murderer.'" I spoke and backed away from him slightly.

I wanted Caleb dead, of course, I did. But did I want someone I love to kill him and possibly gets arrested?  No.

"That-that doesn't mean I did so, I say it's a prank." He said and I bit my lip.

"Sam, tell me the truth," I said sternly and he rubbed his temple.

"Fine...a now best friend of mine, helped me on killing him." He said and my eyes went wide.

"Sam...you should have told me about this besides hiding it," I said as I backed away slightly again.

"I know but i...we didn't want you to freak out, We didn't want you to call the police on us."

"Why would I call the police on you and whoever your friend is, by killing the dick head?! You know everyone wanted him to be gone, including me." I spoke with slight anger.

"I-I know! And I'm sorry for hiding it from you, but it was for the best at the time." He said and I sighed with a nod.

"I'm sorry, it just sucked that you guys didn't invite me to kill him with you guys," I said with a small smirk.

"I mean... I would be a good killer." I added and wiggled my brows as he ruffled my hair.

"Now that would be hot." He said causing me to giggle.

"Oh really?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Hmh, Yeah." He grinned and I kissed him.

"Babe, calm down. Please." Sam said as I paced around the room.

"Calm down?! You could get arrested!" I said and looked at him, feeling anxiety running through me.

I was now thinking about the cons of this situation.

"Babe—"

"No! I-I can't lose you!" I sobbed out and looked at him, tears brimming my eyes.

"Sam, you and your friend can get in serious trouble, even if you guys killed someone that deserves it. You can still get in trouble." I said and he grabbed my hand.

"We won't—"

"The guy that came over here knows, theirs a chance that he gonna tell the police," I said sternly.

"You're right..." he trailed off and I bit my lip.

I saw him grabbing his phone out from his pocket, texting someone.

"Who are you texting?" I asked curiously and he looked at me.

"My friend that helped me, Piper." He said and I nodded.

"She's saying that there is no way for the police will believe him, there is no proof of us killing Caleb and the other dude, investigators already solved the case, saying that the elevator just broke." He said and a small of relief set in me.

"So there is no way for you and piper to get arrested?" I asked as he nodded.

"Yep, no way, I promise." He said as I nodded.

I sat down on the bed, Sam grabbing my hand.

"I promise you won't lose me." He said and I sniffled slightly.

"Promise?" I asked as we interlocked pinkies.

"I Promise."

It was the next day, it has been pretty boring so far. The twins were up most of the day which kept Sam and I busy.

Kat, Chase, and their newborn, Julia came over to spend some time with us.

"So, How is it like to be finally parents?" I asked as kat sat down on the couch with Julia in her arms.

"It's been good so far, Julia has been a little fussy at nights since our parents left to go home, but that's it." She said as I nodded.

"How have been Jedrek and Ethan? Any troubles?" She asked as I shook my head.

"They have been good, they've been sleeping okay and it's not been rough yet," I said as I looked down at Jedrek that is sleeping in my arms, Ethan was in Sam's.

We've talked about many things, life mainly. I missed those times when we go out and just adventure. Especially with the whole gang, but since we've been focused on family, jobs, etc, we barely get to hang out.

I miss those times.

"I was wondering if sometime in a few months, everyone in our group, go on a small trip, ya know? Like just hang out." I said as I laid Jedrek in his swing.

"I miss us hanging out, and we could just have "alone" time without kids," I said as I saw kat smiling with a nod.

"I was thinking the same! I miss all of us being close." She said as I looked at chase and Sam.

"Is that okay with you guys?" I asked Katrina handed Julia to chase, I remember how scared he was to become a father but now, I could see how that changed.

"Yeah, that's fine with me. Maybe we could go somewhere we haven't been in so long." Sam said as Chase nodded.

We talked more about what we wanted to do with everyone, Chase texted the group chats about what we were talking about, and everyone agreed on our exciting idea.

Now I just can't wait to finally hang out with them.
