Reason why YOU want to break up: You feel like he doesn't care about you as much as he did before. In the beginning of your relationship with Cody, he was a caring guy. He took care of you in every way he could, showed you love every second he was with you, and made feel like you were the most special person in the entire world. Now, he rarely replies to your texts, rarely goes out with you, and when he does, he doesn't seem as into it as he used to. When you tried to talk to him about it, he dismisses it as you being over dramatic and needy.

Reason why THEY want to break up: Cody feels like you can't read his emotions, and don't listen to him. He feels like you have to have have him with you every second of the day. Cody wants his space, and when you're texting and calling him every minute, he can't. When he tries to explain to you he wants his space, you get in an argument with each other, and has to stop in immediately, because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings, and feels like there's no point. He loves you, he truly does, but he feels like he needs someone who respects his space, and you need someone who can be there with 24/7.

How they deal with the breakup: Cody misses your texts and calls every day, telling him how much you love him, miss him, and want to see him again soon. He lays in bed, tear stained cheeks, with his phone in hand, waiting for your name to pop up on the screen of his phone. He sometimes goes on the messages between you and him, and sees how many times you would text him, and even noticed. . .you became the one who would text him first. He felt his heart shatter into pieces, and would just lose it. He couldn't believe he lost the love of his life, and he didn't know if he'd get you back again.

They figure out you have a new boyfriend/girlfriend/partner: Cody told himself that he didn't care, and that worked for a bit. But when he was alone after seeing you with your new boyfriend/girlfriend/partner, her broke down into tears, and a part of him wanted to send a message, a message you barely got from him towards the end, I love you. But he couldn't press send. He knew you were happy now with whoever you were with now. He/She/They probably gave you happiness that he couldn't give you. He misses you. And he's sorry.
