Chapter 9: I Feel I'm Walking A Fine Line

Alexia's POV :

After my dad left yesterday Brian went with him, thankfully! Johnny decided to stay another night something about wanting to get to know me better before vacation. I had no problem with it and it turns out he's exactly like I thought he was. It almost seems as though he's like a child trapped in an adults body. I can tell already he's going to be an awesome uncle.

The three of us stayed up till really late just talking about anything and everything, I let the guys know at the start of the night I didn't want to speak about Brian and what he had said. I didn't need him putting a downer on our time.

I found out that the girls were coming back this morning and that I would be meeting Zacky's girlfriend Amelia and Johnny's girlfriend Elanor then and my dads girlfriend Emeli when I went back to his house tonight. I had no idea when I would meet Brian's girlfriend Laurynn since I was going to try and avoid him like the plague. I just hoped that me and Laurynn could get along because from what Uncle Zacky and Johnny told me last night she sounded like a pretty cool girl, I just had some sort of feeling though that Brian would attempt to turn her against me. Let's just hope that she forms her own opinion on me and chooses to ignore him. It's beyond me why he's even acting like this anyway.

My dad had tried to call me this morning but I'd slept through it and now it was round about midday, I knew that I should call him back but the really childish side of me came out and I chose to leave it. I decided that it was his turn to suffer and feel like a dick for what he said to me yesterday. I didn't care much for what he had to say as it was since I'd already forgiven him after I'd calmed down, all I needed was some time and space for myself but he didn't need to know that. I did regret what I had said to him but it was just the heat of the moment. It was time to see if he really would put in the effort of being a parent. I just wanted to see his true self come out again and see if he really was sorry for what he had said. I know I'm acting like a spoilt little bitch but what does he expect if he's going to compare me to Val I'll act like this and see if he realizes just how different I actually am. Obviously I know I'll have to see Brian soon aswell but when I do I'll make up any excuse to get away from him and if that doesn't work I'll act as though he doesn't even exist to me. It probably can't be that hard to do, right?

Brooke and Elanor had gotten back around an hour ago and were currently filling Zacky and Johnny in on what happened over their vacation. If the other girls were anything like these two I'd definitely be happy, I can tell already that I'm going to have a lot of fun with them.

I continued talking to them all until later that day, we'd spoken about the vacation and what we could do whilst we were there. Zacky had filled them in on what had happened so far between my dad, Brian and me and they had all said they were on my side. I'd told them there was no sides to take and that I was just planning on avoiding Brian as much as I could and that I didn't want anything to change between the group.

After choosing earlier that I was just going to ignore my dads phone calls I'd just left my iPhone up in my room to make it more believable that I wasn't ignoring him on purpose. I didnt really want to go back to matts house it's amazing at Uncle Zacky's house, I get along with the four of them here and they just make me feel welcome, more than what can be said for my dad and Brian.

We were all just sat around talking in the back yard when Zacky's phone rang. I knew it was my dad, who else would it possibly be? He left to go back into the house and reappeared around 5minutes later, he had his car keys in his hand so I just knew what was coming next already.

I was right...

"Lex, that was your dad. I didn't realize how late it was and he wants you home now. If you get all your things and meet me back here I'll take you back home." Great, back to my dads I go. Urgh!

"yeah, I'll just be a few minutes Uncle Z." I told him as I headed back to my room to pack my bag.

I took as long as I possibly could to pack my things and then walk back out into the yard.

"finally you're here, I thought you'd maybe ran off or something. You took your time" zacky said to me whilst laughing.

"Well I'm here now and as ready as I can be to go back to matts house."

"It's your home too Lex" I was told by both Zacky and Johnny at the same time.

"That was creepy! Anyway, I probably need to go now so I suppose I'll see you guys soon right?"

"tomorrow remember? Were taking you shopping to get ready for vacation and then out for lunch" Brooke and Elanor reminded me.

"yeah, see you guys tomorrow" I smiled to the pair before following Uncle Zacky out to his car.

This was going to be a long night, I could tell already.
