Chapter 24: Special Show

Soon I and Chara came to Asriel's house. But surprisingly, noone was home either, so I got surprised and a bit nervous. But Chara otherwise didn't really care about his dissapearance.

- Chara... Asriel is gone, - I decided to inform her since she didn't really care.

- Oh no shit, Sherlock, - she only answered with frusrtation.

- And you aren't even worried about him?

- Usually when we quarrel with each other - Asriel is going to mom for a day or two. They talk things out with each other and then he is coming back as happy as before.

- But are you sure we shouldn't go check on him?

- Why should we?

- Well, you know... This situation is more critical than any before. After all Asriel began to remember about resets and I wonder if any other monsters like your mom will remember as well.

- This is not resets. This was not Determination reset and that might be the reason why they remembered. Now sit, - she ordered and pointed and sofa while I just got confused.

- Sit?

- Yes, sit god damn you! I'll take some medicaments and will be back.

And so I sat on the sofa and started to wait for Chara. But while she was searching for the right thing, I decided to turn on the TV...

Oh, looks like Undyne is some sort of popular star in this Underground for real.

But then I saw how Undyne started to literally torture pots and pans while cruely throwing food at it and hitting it with her spear...

Poor food.

- Didn't think you like to watch her shows, - suddenly I heard Chara's voice and immediately tried to turn the TV off while Chara only smiled a bit, - It's Asriel favourite show. He wishes to meet her personally someday.

Chara let herself drown in her good memories for a bit, but after that only came back to her almost usual cold, but annoyed face.

She sat near me and prepared antiseptic, medical cotton wool and some patches. After that she wetted one cotton wool with antiseptic and just touched my wound on my nose.

I immediately felt agonizing and almost hellish pain, so I backed off from her hand with silent hiss. But Chara only rolled her eyes in annoyance.

- Come on, crybaby, man up! You experienced pain much more worse than it, so indure this one!

- Fine, - I only sighned, but Chara stopped me from backing off with other hand and continued to treat my wound.

- While we're at it... - she suddenly started, - Tell me one thing. How can I trust you?

- What do you mean?

- Let's start with the fact that you killed me already. How can I be so sure that you're not pretending to be the good guy?

- I was not really willing to kill you. System made me... Hate you for what you did and made me enjoy killing you.

- Uh-huh, - Chara only hmrfed, - And what I did for you to hate me?

- Used your powers on the surface and after all tried to kill me in the very beginning, remember?

But Chara didn't answer, but only pushed antiseptic more cruely to my face which doubled the pain.
