Chapter 44

And so Chara, Asriel and me were standing in the elevator in complete silence while waiting for that thing to take us to the right floor. I still remembered this elevator... I remembered how I rushed to it in panic and killed Undyne in cold blood...

I didn't know why I killed her so fast and without hesitation...

Am I really that obssesed with Chara? I was really afraid to lose her. Well, not going to lie, I'm still too afraid to ever lose her again. Besides, I already saw "other" version of myself that lost his love and decided to kill everything just to calm his inner pain.

Jesus, I'm glad that everything is behind now, so I can forget about these dark times. My life here really reminds me a plot of some anime if you'll ask me.

- So... What's the plan? - suddenly Asriel asked while I looked at him with little surprise.

- What plan?

- I mean! - he shouted in little impatient, - We're going to face Undyne herself! We need to show how interesting we are, we need to... To BLOW the whole scene up with our awesomeness! Well, I mean with MY awesomeness of course!

- I don't think Undyne will like if you'll destroy here scene. Like what, are you going to use dynamite to blow everything up? - Chara smirked, but Asriel only stomped on the ground with his leg due to his frustration.

- I didn't mean to blow it up with dynamite!

- Oh, so you're going to use your magic? You're really a... HOT-headed one, don't you? - now I smirked on my turn while Asriel looked at me with confusion rather than in anger.

- And... What is the joke of this one?

- Like... You control fire magic, right? So I can say, you're pretty HOT-headed... Like get it? Hot? - I started to explain my own joke, but Asriel needed a while to get it. Chara only chuckled due to my stupid joke... I couldn't tell if she actually liked that or she just laughed because of how stupid this joke is.

- Oh shut up! - he finally exclaimed in even bigger frustration, - You were supposed to create some sort of plan or something for Undyne! We need to impress her! What were you doing all this time?!

But after his frusrtation changed to annoyance as soon as his memory gave him the answer on his own question.

- Oh right...

- Rei, relax, we can do it, - Chara calmly answered.

- How?!

- Simple. We will improvise, - I answered instead of Chara and after that we both exit the elevator as soon as it's doors opened up while Asriel just stood there for a few seconds confused.

- Wha... No, wait! You can't just improvise without any p-plan! It's... It's stupid!

Soon we finally reached familiar to me place. It was almost the end of the Core and we saw Undyne who was standing in center of this room which was also dimply lited up by red color. This fish was just patently waiting for us to come here.

Chara was acting really calm when she saw Undyne. Looks like she already accepted the fact that she have to face Undyne once again, no matter the fact that fish literally hates her. Asriel on other hand was really worried to face Undyne, but also really impatient to see his own idol, so he couldn't really decide if he should ran while he still can or stand his ground. He wanted to show the whole Underground how awesome he is. Especially to show it to Undyne herself.

- Just look who we have here! - Undyne exclaimed with wide and almost predatory smile while Asriel was nearly shining from happiness. He could finally see her personally, - So you're not such a cowards after all since you came here!
