(A/N: Many timeskips here since I don't want to describe battle with every single monster as well as repeating almost same parts of the story. Sorry for lower quality, but I'm too tired to write something more interesting.
If you want to skip my terrible attempts in humor, you can just skip to last timeskip.
But hopefully, this chapter was worth the wait.)
So our journey continued.
Snowdin was just filled with life and happiness as it always should be. Seeing so many happy and, more importantly, ALIVE monsters for some reason warmed my heart... Even including that Snowdin was still uncomfortably cold on the outside. But it seems in the very heart of this town there was a decorated Christmas tree with presents under it.
I wounder if they're celebrating this holiday just once in the year or... Like all the time.
But mostly there were such types of monsters that can deal with such low temperatures like... Humanoid bear or... Humanoid bunny that was walking with her... pet-bunny... Right.
We successfully passed Snowdin without any trouble. Even Sans didn't meet us at the end in attempt to battle with us or something like that. It looks like he was too tired after our snow battle to fight us one again. Honsetly, I was some sort of tired as well, so it was good thing for me that he didn't show up.
But when we were moving through very familiar to me forest, almost leaving Snowdin, suddenly I felt how I stepped on something. Judging by my own feelings, I stepped on... A fabric? Maybe one of the monsters accidentally dropped it?
I decided to look at it.
...
My body literally froze after what I saw. I couldn't belive my eyes.
I...
I saw Asriel's scarf lying in the snow just like when I saw it in the first time. I stopped hearing any sounds at all anymore, except whistling of chilly air that was reminding me of... How empty Underground actually became after Shifty came.
I couldn't move with any inch of my body at all while I was inseparably looking at his scarf. My mind slowly started to fill with fear that was giving me chills across my whole body and making me forget about surrounding me world itself.
I began to hear my own rising heart beat while memories began to consume me.
I let it happen.
It was my fault.
They ALL died because of me...
Suddenly someone grabbed me by my hand that forced me to "wake up" and look at this someone. It was Chara who was looking at me with big concern and even slight fear in her eyes.
- DOA? Are you okay?
- I... - I said with slight trembling in my voice, but then I looked at the ground once again, but... The scarf was no longer there.
I was confused, but at the same time I was afraid. Why did I saw it just now? Why my memories began to torture me AGAIN?!
- Come on, you're scaring me, - Chara said with same concern, - Is everything alright?
- A-absolutely, - I barely overcame my fear to answer her, - Let's just keep moving...
Chara surely wasn't satisfied with such answer, so she looked at me with same concern and worry.
- Fine. But you'll go first then.
I just nodded and kept moving foward to Waterfall, but before leaving Snowdin completely, I looked behind and saw silhouette of familiar to me kid that was almost completely covered with strong winter storm, so I couldn't even see colors of his body. He was just looking at us heading away, but I couldn't look at him back much longer and turned my head foward before my memories consumed me again.
