You looked at his hand confused and looked at Stephen. He then said, "She isn't really interested in social interactions."
Dr. Banner looked towards Stephen and asked, "What's her name then?"
He answered, showing him your wrist, "Well, she won't tell me, but I took a guess that it started with an M and now I'm calling her Morgan."
He nodded and then said kindly, "Well, Morgan. Can you come sit in this chair, I'm gonna run a few tests on you, okay?"
You trusted him and sat down in the chair. Stephen pulled up a stool and sat next to you as Dr. Banner began to get a few things ready. He began to walk towards you with a tiny sharp object, just like they used at the bad place.
You looked at him panicky as he said, "It's okay Morgan, it's just a tiny shot. I need to draw some blood."
You shook your head violently and began to back yourself into the chair to get away from him. You tried to use your powers to knock him away but it wasn't working. Your ankle just began to glow orange because of the bond that Stephen put on you. You began to yell, "NO! Get away!"
He paused and looked at Stephen. Stephen looked at you shocked, "Morgan, it won't hurt that bad. Just let him do it real quick."
You still looked petrified so the doctor pulled Stephen aside and began to whisper to each other, "I don't think it's a good idea to do this. You said she was really strong didn't you?"
Stephen nodded and answered, "I know, but I have a bond on her, she can't use her powers unless I take it off."
Dr. Banner suggested, "I have to poke her at least five times, how about I give her a muscle relaxer to calm her down, then you can hold her down while I put in an IV."
Stephen nodded then Banner went and grabbed a small pill and a water, "Here Morgan, take this." You looked to Stephen confused but he assured you it would be alright. You then took the pill and rested.
After about twenty minutes, you began to feel extremely tired, but you didn't want to fall asleep in fear that they might bring back the shot. You then heard Stephen and Banner talking. You opened your eyes and saw Stephen begin to hold your arm down. You looked at him shocked and scared as you saw Banner hold up a small needle.
You yelled drowsily, "No! Stop!" But you couldn't get away, you were too exhausted. Then you let out a small cry of pain when the needle entered your arm.
Eventually they both stepped back and you relaxed as Stephen said, "That wasn't too bad was it?"
You ignored him as Banner began to mess with the end of the tube that was connected to your arm. Then, you saw red liquid begin to go through the tube. You were terrified but Banner reassured you, "It's okay Morgan. I'm just gonna take some tests."
You tried to kick him but Stephen quickly got up and held your legs down. He then said to Banner, "You might just want to give her a sedative."
What?
The bad men said that when you acted badly.
Banner answered, "Yeah, that might be better."
He began to walk towards the counter behind you and you looked at Stephen nervously, "It'll be okay Morgan. You'll just get super sleepy."
Then, Dr. Banner came back and attached something to the end of the tube. A clear liquid flowed through the tube and you quickly felt the effects of the drug. You couldn't keep your eyes open anymore so you just went to sleep.
-----
You began to hear voices around you, "Where did she come from?"
"She just fell out of a window and I brought her to the monastery. I didn't know what to do with her."
"Did you notice the track marks on her arm?"
"What?"
You heard shuffling around you and your arm was lifted, "These; she either has a history of drug abuse or..."
"She might have been experimented on."
"Maybe that's what she's talking about when she says bad men. She doesn't show signs of drug abuse."
You began to wake up as Stephen quickly came to your side, "Hey Morgan, you okay?"
You nodded and he sat back down and asked, "So, we wanted to ask umm..."
He looked at Banner unsurely and Banner finished, "Were you experimented on?"
You looked at him confused and Stephen said, "She doesn't understand what a lot of words mean." Then Stephen looked at you and picked up a syringe and put it near you, "Did the bad men do this?" You nodded nervously and he looked back at Banner.
Banner said, "You can't let them find her."
Stephen nodded and said, "Yeah, I know." Then he stood up and helped you get up but you still felt weak from the anesthesia. He gently picked you up and said, "Thanks Banner."
He quickly made a portal and walked through as Banner said, "No problem, I'll let you know when I get some results."
The portal then closed and you were in the bedroom he put you in last night. He laid you down and said, "You can get some rest. I'll be downstairs if you need me."
-----
You woke up to the feeling of hunger in your stomach. You walked downstairs to the same kitchen and saw Stephen reading a book. He quickly looked up at you and asked, "Do you want something to eat?" You nodded and he began to make you a sandwich. You sat down at the table as he sat across from you and began to eat.
He then asked, pointing to your arm with track marks, "Are these from the bad men?" You nodded and looked down. He asked, "Can you tell me about the bad men?" You didn't look up, you just kept your head down and finished eating. His eyes then sparked with excitement, "Well, if you won't talk, we can go train." You looked at him confused as he said, "Come on." He led you into a room with a punching bag, some odd weapons, and yoga mats on the floor. You looked at him confused as he said, "If the bad men find you, you need to be prepared."
He stood in front of you and handed you a ring much like his own. He walked beside you and opened a portal. He then said, "Your turn."
You questioned him, "What?"
He answered, "Open a portal. Imagine a familiar place, think of all the details of that place." He showed you how to place your hands and said, "Now, open it." You tried to copy him but you only saw a small amount of sparks. He then said, "Keep trying." You nodded and continued the same hand movements. This lasted for fifteen long minutes.
What if I need to find a different place.
One that I am familiar with.
The bad place.
You began to imagine it until the sparks continued to get larger and you saw a circle being formed, you then saw that room you spent your whole life in.
Stephen looked at you shocked and said, "Is this...where you were?" You nodded until you both heard some noise through the portal. Stephen closed it quickly and stood in front of you, "You can't do that. They'll be able to find you." You looked at him scaredly until he had an apologetic look on his face and said, "I'm sorry Morgan. I just don't want you to get hurt again."
