Stephen was storming towards you and quickly grabbed your arm. He whispered sternly, "WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?" You looked at him too scared and shocked to say anything. He then dragged your arm to his portal as you protested but he was too strong. He easily led you back through his portal and sat you down in the library of the monastery.
I can take a good guess that I'm about to be in some serious trouble.
You were sitting in the chair as Stephen stared at you furious trying to find the words. He eventually began by yelling, "WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?" You let a tear slip from your eye and your lips began to quiver as you shrugged your shoulders. He continued his ranting, "I NEED AN ANSWER! I TOLD YOU TO NEVER TRY THAT AND YOU DELIBERATELY DISOBEYED ME!" He continued, "WHAT WAS THAT IN THERE?" He paused, waiting for an answer but you said nothing. Then said angrily, "I HAVE TO KEEP YOU SAFE AND THEN YOU GO RUN AROUND AND DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS? I TOLD YOU TO NEVER DO THAT! DO YOU EVEN CARE?
You continued crying as you said quietly, "I'm sorry."
He began to pace around the room and said, "Sorry isn't good enough. YOU COULD'VE DIED."
I could've died.
I could've died doing that?
You were so numb lately you weren't thinking...or you just didn't care if you died.
"I would've been fine with that."
Right in that moment he stopped his pacing and stared at you with concerned eyes, "What?" You looked down but he knelt down in front of you with sympathetic eyes, "Morgan, do you want to kill yourself?"
You began to cry so he just scooped you up into his arms and you wrapped your legs around his waist. You sobbed into his chest as he whispered, "I'm sorry sweetie. I am so sorry."
He held you there for a while and for once, you finally felt loved. He wasn't mad, he just wanted you to be safe. He cared for you, unlike anyone in your life.
Eventually you got back down and sat down in the chair. He then sat across from you in another chair and asked, "I need to talk to you Morgan."
You looked up confused as he asked, "That purple orb in there...what was that?"
You looked down and said, "I don't know, I've never seen it before."
He then sighed and sat up in his seat, "I've been trying to find out who the people are that took you and I keep seeing that every time that I'm there. That's how I found you." You looked up shocked and he continued, "I've noticed it has an extreme amount of energy. But you've never seen it?" You shook your head and he stood up, "Well, I'm gonna do some more research but umm-"
He held his hand out towards you as if he was asking you to hand something over. You looked at him confused as he said, "Your sling ring. You're grounded."
You looked at him confused, "Grounded?"
He chuckled and said, "You can't have it until I trust that you will be responsible. Hand it over." You pulled your hand away but he said in a stern voice, "Morgan."
You shook your head but being the petty sorcerer he is, he pushed your astral form out of your body. He then took the sling ring off of your physical body and put you back.
You looked at him angrily but he said walking away "Grounded."
-----
The next few days, Stephen either locked himself away in his spell room while you trained or began to homeschool you...let me rephrase that...tried to homeschool you.
"Ok so if 2 is the amplitude, what is the 2pi."
What the hell was this guy talking about?
"I don't know."
He sighed in frustration and said, "We just went over this, it is the period of the function."
You rolled your eyes.
You had a photographic memory just like him so learning everything so quickly was easy...you just didn't want to do math.
He then sighed and picked up another book, "Okay, let's just move onto science if you're gonna act like that."
You gave him the normal teen sass, "Act like what?"
He then said angrily, "This! You know how to do it, you just don't want to."
You rolled your eyes again and he said, "Don't roll your eyes at me."
You then just sassily sighed and he pulled out a paper from his binder, "Finish this, when I come back, it better be done."
He then walked away angrily and you looked down at the paper. It was full of math questions. They were easy. You finished it quickly and laid your head down on the desk and began to take a nap.
Stephen POV:
"Finish this, when I come back, it better be done." You then walked away angrily and went to your spell room.
What is wrong with me?
She's just a kid.
Don't try to make her a child prodigy.
Why has she been acting like this though? Acting like she doesn't want to do anything...being risky with her own life. Does she have depression? I I need to talk to her.
You then slowly collected yourself and began to head back to the library where you saw her asleep on the desk. You smiled at her knowing she was at peace right now and not scared. You picked up her paper with the math problems on it and put a 100 on it with a smiley face.
She got every single thing right on this.
She's brilliant, she could've been great if it weren't for her past.
Why did that have to happen to her? You wished you could've taken her place so that she may be able to live a good life.
You saw her slightly waking up so you put a hand on her back and whispered, "Do you want to go take a nap?"
She nodded sleepily but didn't make any attempts to get up so you picked her up bridal style and carried her to her room. You laid her down and whispered, "I'm sorry." You then covered her with a blanket and left the room.
Morgan POV:
You woke up in your bed and looked around.
How did I get here?
You then remembered Stephen putting you in here. You slowly got up because your stomach began to growl. You walked downstairs to see Stephen making dinner. He turned around and said in a kind manner, "It'll be done in just a minute. Do you want something to drink?"
You nodded and asked, "Water?"
He looked at you confused and asked, "Don't you want something like soda or juice...I got you some of that gatorade that you liked."
You shook your head tiredly and just sat down at the table. He came back a few minutes later with a water and a bowl of spaghetti. He sat across from you and began to eat. You played with your food a bit and only ate a few bites. Your numbness was still a thing.
You didn't want to do anything anymore, including eating.
He eventually looked up at you and asked, "Are you gonna eat?"
You answered back, "I ate."
He looked down at your plate and said, "Morgan, you need to eat more." You sighed and ate a few more bites reluctantly. Then he said, "Morgan, I'm worried about you."
