You shook your head profusely as you backed up but he continued to walk towards you, "What's the big deal, it's just a piece of glass. You wouldn't be trying to hide it if it was."

You tried to lie, "I thought you might be mad that I didn't clean it up after that night."

He looked at you skeptically, "What night?"

You sighed, "When I had that nightmare and knocked things over, I broke the lamp and there was glass on the floor."

He questioned, "So it magically appeared in your hand after weeks of being on the floor?"

You nodded hoping he would accept that and move on but he looked at you skeptically, "I'm still going to throw it away."

You answered quickly, "I can throw it away-"

He began walking to your room as you followed him, "No you won't, you didn't before."

He was right, you wouldn't. You might as well just let him throw it away, you could get another one later.

Once he got to your room he found the piece of glass on the floor exactly where you had thrown it last night. He picked it up and examined it before silently leaving your room. You shut the door behind him and sat on the floor and began to cry. So much had happened in the last 24 hours, you didn't know what to do. You wanted that feeling again. You looked around the room for whatever you could find to cut yourself again. You searched the room, every square inch of it trying to find something. Anything you could use to block out the pain with, but you couldn't find anything.

Then, you remembered, in Stephen's first aid kit, he had a scalpel inside of it. You knew you wouldn't be able to get in there right now, but you could take it tonight. You quickly made up a plan that you would take it while he was sleeping, you just had to be extremely careful in order to not wake him.

-----

"Morgan, come down and eat dinner."

You quickly got up from your afternoon nap and went downstairs acting like nothing was wrong. You were wearing a sweatshirt that he had gotten you to cover up the scars on your wrists. Once you got to the kitchen, you sat down across from him and began to eat the soup that he had made.

He looked at you questionably and said, "It's hot, why are you wearing a sweatshirt?"

You looked up quickly with wide eyes, "I don't know, I was cold."

He looked at you skeptical, raising one eyebrow and feeling your forehead, "Are you sick?"

You pushed his hand away annoyed and said angrily, "I'm fine."

He knew something was definitely up but he dropped it knowing that it would come into view eventually. After you had finished eating you put your plate in the sink and he snuck up behind you quietly.

You looked up at him towering over you but he said in a loving manner, "You can tell me if something is going on, you know that right?"

You nodded and just walked back up to your room silently. You would tell him eventually, but not right now. Right now, you need to make the pain go away.

-----

Finally, it was around 1am, it was time to go take the scalpel. You quietly got out of bed and tiptoed across the monastery into his room. You saw him sound asleep and knew it was safe to act. You softly walked into his room and found the first aid kit. You carefully opened it and found the scalpel but something caught your eye.

On his counter, there was an orange bottle filled with the same pills you got after you were stabbed. The ones that made you feel good. You grabbed both the scalpel and the pills with not a thought in your head.

Here you were, an abused teen with superpowers, carrying around drugs and a scalpel.

Once you go to your room, you put the drugs and scalpel on your nightstand. You sat down on your bed and stared at the items for at least ten minutes before picking up the first item, the scalpel.

You rolled up your sleeve and cut your arm multiple times. This felt good, better than before. The scalpel was sharp and could make nice, clean cuts. You took a few sharp breaths before putting the scalpel back and grabbing the medication. You opened it and popped three into your mouth and before swallowing you threw the scalpel and bottle under your bed. You swallowed the pills and laid back into bed, waiting for them to kick in.

You eventually did feel it kick in, your body began to relax, your limbs felt almost numb. Everything became fuzzy right before you passed out.

-----

"Morgan, Morgan, wake up!"

You were being shaken awake by Stephen. You slowly opened your eyes and looked at him confused. He looked at you shocked and asked, "Are you okay?"

You then realized why he had asked this. You were dripping with sweat and your hands were shaking. You sat up nodded tiredly, trying to play it off.

You said, "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired."

He then stood up and began to look at your eyes. He grabbed your face keeping one eye open looking in it, "Your pupils are constricted."

You looked at him confused, then your stomach began to turn. Your eyes went wide open as you hunched over the side of the bed. He knew what was coming so he grabbed a trashcan and held it under your mouth as you let your stomach contents fill the bin. He rubbed your back trying to keep you relaxed until you finished.

As you laid back into bed, he said, "We need to get you to a hospital." You looked at him confused as he said, "I can't take you to one though or else, they'll find you." You stared worriedly at him until he said, "I'll just take you to Banner."

No, this isn't good.

You just wanted some relaxing peace...but now, he was going to find out that you were on drugs and cutting yourself.

He quickly pulled out his phone to make a call and a few seconds later he began to make a portal. He helped you up out of bed as you both walked through the portal and were greeted by Dr. Banner. Stephen quickly informed him of your situation but you were having trouble listening.

You stared down at the ground as you saw Dr. Banner kneel in front of you, "Hey Morgan, it's me again, remember?"

You nodded drunkenly as he stood back up and said, "Let's get her laid down, I'll run some tests on her."

You kept spacing out so Stephen guided you to the same chair you sat in before. Your eyes were still fixed onto the wall as Dr. Banner shone a light in your eyes and looked at Stephen confused, "She has pinpoint pupils."

He then began to examine your head for any injuries but concluded that you had none, "Did you hit your head on anything?"

You gained enough energy to finally shake your head no.

Then he turned to Stephen and whispered something to him. It was a loud whisper but you were too drugged up to know what they were saying.

Eventually, you heard Banner say something about drugs.

This isn't good.
