summary: in the early stages of your relationship, dates are something to be nervous about. especially if it's the first date you and kit have at the cinema.

Requested by: stupidb3tch

Fun fact: I'm in class while writing this (:

Kit: What if she cancels on me now? Or she doesn't like the date at all and decides we're better of as friends?

Joe: I believe in you, Kit

Sebastian: Yeah, I think it's save to say that she likes you.

William: Honestly, it's so obvious. Everyone knows

Kizzy: Aren't you going to the cinema? How could that go wrong?

There are two facts worth mentioning before anything else:

1.Kit was going to go on a date tonight.

2. He was going with Y/n, which made him a wreck

He had liked her for what seems to be decades and after a while, even his friends started to get annoyed by him and his constant babbling about her.

When he finally had the guts to ask her out, or more like when the crew finally had enough of this, she said yes, much to his surprise.

What he didn't know is, that a few streets away from him, Y/n was chewing on her lower lip, just as excited as he was.

She practically felt the adrenaline rush through her body as she changed into what she had picked out for this date.

The doorbell rang not long after and she opened, fully expecting to see Kit standing there, early.

But it wasn't, it was her friend Yasmin, smiling brightly. "Hey, I was just getting ready to leave, I'm so sorry. I'm going-"

She promptly cuts her friend off, waving her hand around in the air. "On a date with Kit, I know. I was just here to say good luck, and give you this."

A smile formed on Y/n's face as she handed her box, which she opened right there.

Y/n's POV:

"You made your muffins!" I shout, remembering we are still in the hallway and my neighbours weren't too happy to hear me shout about muffins.

"Thank you, but why?" I ask, putting them inside, her trailing after me.

"Okay, you asked so I can reveal my super cool plan: When you and Kit come back here, you're gonna be like: "oh, Yasmin made some of her muffins would you like to come in and eat one?" And boom, you spent more time together."

The room is silent for a few seconds, but then I burst into laughter. "Thank you for that, but I think he'll be coming here any minute now."

After a quick round of goodbyes, I look in the mirror again, wiping my hands on my clothes.

Two fast knocks, then a third one echo through the apartment and I immediately know that must be Kit.

I swing open the door, smiling as I see him. "Hey, Y/n. You ready to go?" His hands are in the pockets of his pants, his lips forming into a smile. "Yeah, I'm good to go."

As we leave my apartment, I take his hands into mine, moving a little closer to him.

"Which movie are we gonna watch?" I ask, moving a little forward so I can look at his entire face.

"I was going to ask you, actually. My idea was House of Gucci, but if you don't want to watch that, we can pick out something else." He tells me, swinging our arms in a playful manner.

"That sounds good, I'm totally fine with that." A grin makes its way onto my face, and I'm pretty sure I have a blush covering my face.

That's when the both of us hear something from behind us, a very loud murmur.

I snap my head into the direction of the sound, but no one there. Casually shrugging it off, I continue talking to Kit.

*little time skip*

We are finally in our seats, the commercials coming to an end, when I hear a familiar voice behind me.

I pretend that it's nothing and continue quietly joking with Kit until the movie finally starts.

The movie was very well made, and at one point I snuggled closer to Kit, resting my head on his shoulder. I'm pretty sure I heard someone squeal at this, but I just continued to watch the movie.

After two and a half hours, the movie ends and I take my head off of Kit's shoulder, to his visible sorrow.

My hands finds its way to his again, intertwining our hands. When we walk up the stairs towards the exit, I see a familiar head of black curls in one of the seats. Next to an even more familiar face.

I tug at Kit's arm, nodding my head towards the group of 5 sitting in their seats.

"Hey guys, such a coincidence seeing you here!" Kizzy awkwardly chuckles, their hand moving to rub their neck.

I just laugh, shaking my head. "What are you doing here?" I ask, my arm wrapped around Kit's. "We just wanted to see how your date went, it seems stupid now though." Sebastian admits, looking at us.

"Thank you very much for your concern, our date went great and I'll enjoy the rest of it now." I say, and then suddenly drag Kit out of the big room with me.

We run out of the cinema, a few streets down until we are both too out of breath to continue.

"What was that for?" His hands are pressed against his knees and he's taking deep breaths, I do the same thing.

"Fun, I guess." I smile after regaining my breath, "Let's go."

The walk to my apartment is filled with playful chatter about the incident in the cinema, and various other topics.

"You can't tell them where we're going for our next date though, or they'll stalk us again." I joke, looking into Kit's brown eyes.

"Next date, eh?" The only reply I can find to this is to laugh again, nodding my head.

"Soo... I'll go now." Seeing the building I had grown to called home was making me quite sad, because it meant Kit would leave.

"Hey, Yasmin made some muffins and if you want, you can come inside and eat some. I won't be able to eat all of the ones she made." I explain to him, holding the door open.

In a rush, the both of us are at my door and when I finally unlock it, he sprints into my kitchen like a little child.

"I'd like to repeat this very soon." He tells me after finishing his second muffin.

"Me too, it was really great." It was the truth for me, I did have fun and being around Kit made me so happy that I never wanted to leave his side ever again.

After a few second of complete silence, I finally break it, "Is it okay if I kiss you?"

Instead of a proper answer, he shifts his body to be closer to me, pressing his lips onto mine.

It was a sweet kiss, he tasted like muffins, popcorn and mint, an unique and great taste.

When I finally pull away from him, I can tell he enjoyed the kiss just as much as I did.

"I like you a lot, Y/n."
