Y/n's Pov:
It was a frigid fall day when I stepped on the train which was supposed to take me to London. Visiting my mum was always a far travel, yet I enjoyed it just as much as finally arriving in London.
The train was empty for the most part, something not entirely unpredictable when keeping in mind it wasn't the holidays and not a lot of people travelled this far without any reason.
I quickly made my way to an empty seat, putting my bags away. When my hands, after a brief search through my backpack, my hands finally take a hold of the book I had been searching.
Heartstopper.
Ever since I first bought it, it became some sort of comfort to me, something I cherished as if it was something I made with my own hands.
I had packed almost all of the books, but reading the first Volume made me remember the warm spring night in which I first had read it.
Reading the books gave me the strength to be open about who I was, about who I loved. While my friends and family were great, the books gave me a sense of comfort I couldn't experience in this universe.
Being consumed with the books, also meant watching the Netflix show, which I now held close to my heart. Seeing the actors play out the scenes I had replayed in my head do many times made my heart ache, and seeing Kit Conner play Nick Nelson, made me automatically like him.
I was deeply concentrated in my book, taking in the pages before my eyes, playing it out in my head when I suddenly heard someone speak up from above my head.
"That's a good book." While the voice sounded familiar, I didn't bother looking up to meet the person's eyes.
"I know, right? It's one of my favourite books at the moment. I love the representation and the chemistry between the characters, especially with Nick and Charlie, and also the-"
While I was too focused on talking about the book, I felt the person move, slowly and gracefully they took the seat opposite to me, and, while still focused on speaking, my eyes finally meet his and I could feel my heart stop beating.
Huh, so this is what it feels like.
Kit Connor, the Kit Connor, was sitting opposite to me, listening carefully to what I was talking about, something I had long forgotten.
He chuckles when I don't continue speaking, reaching his hand out to shake mine. "I can definitely tell it's one of your favourite books. My name is Kit Connor, by the way." I slowly but surely shake his hand, telling him my name too. "I know who you are." I laugh out and when he raises an eyebrow, I start thinking of what I had just said.
"This seat is not taken, right? I can sit somewhere else if I'm bothering you." He states, but I quickly shake my head, not wanting him too leave just now. "So..", he starts of, before finishing the sentence, " do you have any other reasons why you like the book?"
He seems to be ignoring the fact I knew who he was, or he really did not care. Talking to him was like talking to any of my friends, it was simple and easy, I didn't have to overthink any of my questions and answers.
Then, way too soon for my liking, my stop came and I stood up from the seat I had occupied for so long. "Well, this is my stop." I gave him a sheepish smile, getting my bags. "It was so nice meeting and talking to you."
He gave me a smile back before coming up with a reply. "It was nice talking to you too, Y/n." When I took the first step away, I suddenly heard him speak up again. "Hey, can I maybe get your number or Instagram? I'd love it if we could be friends."
I turn around to look at him in surprise, luckily I had some time left to get out of the train, because I was desperately trying to find an answer.
"Yeah sure, I'd like that." I gave him my number as fast as I could, leaving the train to meet my mother. The smile one my face was noticeable, and there was nothing that could happen to wipe it off of my face.
Kit's POV:
I smiled at the photos on Y/n's Instagram. We have texted a lot during the past few days and I found myself to be excited every time they would text me, I would stop whatever I had been previously doing to text them.
"What are you smiling at, KitKat?"
I felt my heart beat faster when I suddenly heard Kizzy's voice from behind me, seeing them smile at me with their typical curious face.
"Kizzy, don't you dare do that again!" They seemed to be ignoring me though, because the next thing they said was, "Who's Y/n? They are pretty. Finally got yourself someone who likes you enough to date you?"
Suddenly, Yasmine came up to us, looking equally as curious as Kizzy. "Kit has a partner? Why am I only now hearing about this?" I looked at the both of them in shock.
"What? No! They are not my partner, we just met on the train and started talking 'cause of Heartstopper. We just decided to exchange numbers to talk."
Yasmine seemed to like my answer, which I can tell by the smirk on her face. "You got her number, now I wanna now everything else. Plus, Kizzy is right, they are gorgeous."
At this, I look back at my phone, being met with the familiar face of Y/n. "You're right, they really are."
"Now come on, lover! We gotta continue shooting and I don't think that'll work without our favourite Nelson." Yasmine shouts, full of energy, while I just sigh.
"Coming!" I shout back at the both of them, after they had already taken off to go back to the set.
Hehehehe, let me know if anyone wants a part 2!
