Falling in love and loving are two different things.

I have long been reminiscing,

To my beloved, I hope you'll listen,

What of the past?

We both knew that it was never meant to last.

I can only conclude

That while I was the only one you pursued,

There were things too painful you endured

Which broke you and made you easy to delude.

And while I still do wish things could've turned out different,

Love like ours was doomed to not be permanent,

They always said opposites attract and complement,

But they never said that one day you'll get tired and start to act indifferent.
