  Third Persons Narrative;

It's a brand-new day, and the birds are chirping outside. It's a big day for both Ajinke and Adebiyi. In fact, it's a big day for the whole Akomojo village as today is the bride picking ceremony.

The day prince Adebiyi would be getting his goddess chosen bride, by the sacred river.

Ajinke is fast asleep on Adebiyi's bed, like an innocent infant, while the young prince had woken up a while back. Maids had come to wake Ajinke up to get her prepared for the ceremony, but he dismissed them as he still wanted to watch how peaceful and perfect, his love, looks in her sleep.

She shifts in her sleep, as the chirping of the birds outside is slowly rubbing sleep off her eyes. If Adebiyi has his way, he'd get rid of the birds that are ruining his beautiful Ajinke's sleep. However, he can't do anything about them.

Ajinke finally pulls her eyes open, and she freezes when her gaze lands on Adebiyi, who's sitting at the foot of the bed, staring at her.

She realizes that he'd been staring at her in her sleep, and she instantly seals her parted lips. Adebiyi smiles at her, and she slowly pulls herself up.

"I could get used to this being how all my days start. "Adebiyi says, and Ajinke's cheeks heat up.

"Good morning, my prince. "She greets, and Adebiyi smiles.

He moves closer to her and takes her warm, little hand in his.

"Are you ready? "He questions, and she gulps. She knows today is the bride picking ceremony, and she's more nervous than she's ready. In fact, in all honesty, she isn't ready.

Ajinke looks up at the prince, and he sees the fear in her eyes.

"What if the goddess doesn't choose me for you? "Ajinke questions and the prince smiles as he knew this would be one of her fears.

"Do you want me? "He questions, and Ajinke looks up at him in silence.

He minimizes the space between them, and Ajinke gulps.

"Do you want to be mine? "He questions, and Ajinke nods.

"Say it. "He orders, and Ajinke swallows.

"Yes, I want to be yours, my prince. "She replies in all honesty, and the prince smiles.

He takes her hand up to his bare chest and places it above his heart. Ajinke gulps at the action, and the prince inhales at the feel of her warm palm on his skin.

"Can you feel it? "He questions, and Ajinke looks up at him.

"It beats for you. You're the purpose behind my living, Ajinke. Even if the goddess doesn't choose you for me, I have chosen you. I will always choose you.

If being with you is a crime, I would commit it with my whole heart. You don't have to fear anything. You belong with me, Ajinke. Nothing will change that. "He says to Ajinke, and Ajinke feels butterflies erupt to life in her stomach.

Her heart melts at the sincere love in his words, and her eyes water in disbelief. Does the prince really possess this much love for her? Does he truly care so much about her? Does he really want her so badly?

The prince pulls her into a hug, and she wraps her arms around him, while firmly pressing her cheek against his chest. Hugging him so tightly, it looks like she wants to merge with him and become one.

She's never felt so safe and protected in her entire life. Even when her grandmother was still alive, she didn't feel this much protection. Although her grandmother gave her all she could give, Ajinke still felt prone to attack from the villagers. But here, in the prince's arms, she feels safe. Like, no force in the world could harm a hair on her head. And she loves this feeling.  She wishes to never see a day when these feelings would disappear.
